Colinxy: The Tyranny of the Motivated Minority - Why Moderates Don’t Drive History
Labels: Colinxy, Motivated minority, TyrannyPolitical culture loves its comforting myths, and none is more persistent than the idea that moderates hold the real power. We’re told that the “sensible centre” keeps society stable, that the majority reins in the extremes, and that the middle ground is where history is written.
But the evidence — historical, psychological, and empirical — points in the opposite direction.

Guy Hatchard: How Far Down the Road to Tyranny Have We Come....
Labels: Covid, Guy Hatchard, Silent no more, Tyranny.....and Why Are We Still Travelling Along It?
An emotionally moving short film released this week, “Silent No More,” documents attempts by Covid vaccine-injured people in New Zealand to obtain recognition of their injuries, treatment, compensation, and a halt to the mRNA vaccine rollout. This factual and simple documentary of personal experiences was banned by YouTube before it was even released. Why?
This is a deep question that encompasses what is so challenging about the pandemic response around the world:
- Why has scientific debate been censored and cancelled by the media sources that the general public view?
- Why have scientists asking questions been cancelled?
- Why are so many concerned professionals still remaining silent?

Rodney Hide: Freedom!
Labels: ANZAC, freedom, parliament, Protest, protestors, Rodney Hide, TyrannyOne of the most invigorating things about Camp Freedom is the absence of fear. The protesters aren't scared. They move freely amongst the crowd and greet and socialise in the usual human ways. There are smiles, handshakes and hugs.
I am not a hugger but I could not help myself. I hugged at Freedomville. I felt human. I was a person not a biohazard.
It was so unbelievably joyful.
To step into the camp is to step into freedom. Stepping out was to cross back into tyranny where people fear each other and wear filthy hankies tied across their faces in a madcap attempt to stay safe.
It's the lack of fear that makes for freedom and provides joy. Having left the Camp, I want back. The Camp is normal life to me; outside is weird, miserable, irrational and tyrannical.

Rodney Hide: I support the protest 100 percent
Labels: Act Party, David Seymour, Protest, Rodney Hide, TyrannyHi David,
I note the following from a RNZ report:
ACT leader David Seymour was similarly derisive of the approach.
"It's possible to have a peaceful protest but I think what they're doing is far too intense. I think what they need to do is respect the law, respect people's basic property rights and not believe that because they disagree they have the right to trample over a whole lot of other people.
"I mean, they're trespassed, they're breaking the law ... but look, I just think it's rude to set up your tents on someone's lawn - not everyone in New Zealand can do it, what makes them different?"
I support the protest 100 percent.
I know several who have travelled up from Arrowtown including a young mother with her toddler. Good people who work their business and have been destroyed by policies you have supported.

Richard Rahn: Tyranny and Free Speech
Labels: Free speech, Richard Rahn from the Cato Institute, Tyranny
Do you support free speech? How about free speech for
climate change skeptics? For homophobes? For racists? For sexists? For white
males? For even Donald Trump?
Those who defend free speech, as did the
American Founding Fathers, understand it is not about defending speech you
agree with, but defending speech you disagree with. Without free speech, there
is no liberty.
