David Farrar: Hysterical Hipkins

Newshub reports:

He [Hipkins] said the government had only been in office for six months, and “the wheels are falling off already”.

This is beyond stupid. Hipkins claims taking two portfolios away from Ministers who were seen to be struggling is the wheels are falling off.

In the first few months of last year, we saw his Government have:
  • The PM resign
  • The Minister of Justice sacked/resigned after being charged with drink driving and not co-operating with Police after she crashed her car
  • Stuart Nash sacked for leaking Cabinet discussions and multiple prior warnings
  • Michael Wood sacked after being told 12 times to sell shares he had a ministerial conflict over
  • A Minister defect to Te Pati Maori.
  • Phil Twyford demoted
  • Three Ministers dropped as they were retiring at the election
For Hipkins to talk about a wheels dropping off, is hilarious.

Opposition Leaders often fall into the trap of thinking they have to try and turn everything into a scandal, and make overly dramatise everything as the end of the world etc. This mainly works by turning the public off the Opposition Leader.

David Farrar runs Curia Market Research, a specialist opinion polling and research agency, and the popular Kiwiblog where this article was sourced. He previously worked in the Parliament for eight years, serving two National Party Prime Ministers and three Opposition Leaders.

I used to find the Labour leadership vaguely amusing. Now they are simply beyond pathetic.

But Hipkins is a nasty little communist who can't stand the fact that new zealanders see through his gaslighting. The fool can speak but we don't have to listen.

I don’t bother listening to or reading what Hipkins has to say any more as
(1) he was a senior minister in and then the leader of one of the most incompetent governments in recent NZ history and
(2) I usually have a good idea of the likely grossly biased, identity-politics content of his comments anyway.

I doubt anyone (except for the left lunatics) takes chipkins seriously. Look at his track record. Also David, there was a lot more happening in the toxic labour ranks at that time.....wasn't Jan tenetti being held for contempt for knowingly lying around that time also? I think Sharma resigned over bullying incident etc. This govt are highly competent compared to the nutters we have had to endure over the 6 years of labour.

Don’t forget Trevor Mallard who is the biggest idiot of them all. Whoever signed off his Knighthood should have been sacked

Add to that: whoever recommended and whoever approved the Order of Merit to Rose Hipkins for her disastrous work leading to the the communist manifesto being taught in schools instead of English, maths, reading, actual history, etc should be shot She received the O o M in 2019; now who was the Minister of Education in 2019, I wonder ?
