She was wearing a keffiyeh. Of course she was. The radical middle class rarely leaves the house without first pulling on that sartorial signifier of virtue.
And now, to top it off, the cunning stunts of Led By Donkeys have got hearts racing in posh coffee houses everywhere by accusing Israel of genocide. Yesterday, the beardy bros of this most grating of campaign groups took a break from berating the oiks for voting Brexit to berate Israel for fighting back against the army of anti-Semites that attacked it on 7 October. They rolled out a giant banner in Parliament Square saying: ‘YES IT’S A GENOCIDE.’ If I had their time, money and insatiable urge to make a media spectacle of my moral rectitude, I’d roll out a banner saying: ‘No it isn’t, you twats.’

This would mean that around 38 per cent of the fatalities in Gaza have been combatants. Naturally, people have challenged Israel’s numbers – everything Israel says is subjected to the most ferocious contestation by puffed-up ‘fact-checkers’. Some say that, actually, ‘only’ 8,500 Hamas terrorists have been killed. This would mean that around 19.3 per cent of the purported 44,000 deaths were of combatants.
Here’s the thing: even that would be in keeping with the combatant-civilian death ratio for most modern conflicts. Some studies claim that, from the 1980s onwards, around 75 per cent of deaths in war have been among civilians. Whether the proportion of civilian deaths in Gaza is 60 per cent, as some in Israel claim, or 80 per cent, as Israel’s critics claim, it is normal. Awful, yes. Truly awful. But there is no proof that Israel is carrying out anything other than war. And, what’s more, a war it has every right to fight. It was Israel that was attacked, by an army of Jew-haters, and its decision to crush that army of Jew-haters is understandable and just.
Accusing Israel of genocide is factually wrong and morally repulsive. It is a gross moral inversion. It was Israel that was subjected to a genocidal attack when the death cult of Hamas indiscriminately slaughtered more than a thousand of its people, and yet it is Israel that is called ‘genocidal’. It was Israel that was targeted by the worst act of racist violence of the 21st century so far – and the worst mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust – and yet it is Israel that is hysterically accused of pursuing the racial extermination of the Palestinians. For here, the descendants of history’s worst genocide find themselves reimagined as genocidaires, as the very evil that once stalked them. Thought provoking and agreed. That the MaoriParty in NZ suggest the Government is creating genocide to bring down Māori is pure grandstanding and 100% inaccurate.
Their ridiculous hyperbole damages their credibility , if only they could see that.
I would rather follow the teachings and prophecies of the most famous of all Jews, Jesus , than those of a warlord Mohammad and his followers hellbent on barbaric jihad and stated extermination of Jews.

Brendan, now as in any other time in history, people find the Jews off-putting, not because of their DNA (which is the Jewish explanation) but because of how they see them act. Another source of friction is how they blame everyone else for their problems that are natural consequences of their actions and attitudes.
It's very hard to maintain the fiction that Jews are history's ultimate victims when people can see for themselves how Jews so often treat non-Jews. But it's no real surprise, given how Jews conceive of themselves as Chosen Ones destined to rule over the gentile cattle.
I look at Israel indiscriminately murdering much of the Arab population in their neighborhood with breathtaking entitlement and no sense of self-refection and self-criticism, and then blaming observers for rightly finding Israel's actions repulsive, and it's very clear why they bring so-called antisemitism onto themselves.
So according to IC Clairly, it"s all the Jews own fault. My my. If it wasn't so grotesque it would be hilarious. Those Jewish genes obviously have a lot to contribute to the world if they make everybody else feel so threatened. And indeed, we find upon closer examination that Jewry has made a disproportionate contribution to the rise of Western Civilisation considering their numbers. So, if the rest of the world is bothered by that, then the rest of the world is the problem, not the Jews. Whoever thought New Zealand invented the tall poppy syndrome?
And by the way, the IDF is not in the business of "indicriminately murdering" the Arab population. They are quite selective who they shoot and tend to aim at the Arab terrorists who are shooting at them. The fact that the terrorists choose to hide in schools and hospitals is not the IDF's problem. HAMAS doesn't ask the permission of the civilian population before using them as human shields. Civilians are expected to die. HAMAS propaganda needs them to die. After all, the Koran considers ALL Muslims are soldiers in a holy war. But the bizzarely named Gaza Health Ministry never mentions that in their press releases, because they are aimed directly at useful idiots like IC Clairly, who can be relied upon to write uninformed comments on platforms like this one.

What is the common dominator in "antisemitism"? Jews. In other words, it doesn't matter where or when it is, "antisemitism" follows Jews wherever they go.

I don't think that it is "jealously" that has turned the world off Israel since they rolled into Gaza.
