Brendan O'Neill: What a pathetic bunch of cry-bullies Israel’s enemies are

The Houthis started a war with Israel and now they’re blubbing like babies because Israel struck back.

If I had spent a large chunk of the past two years firing missiles into France, at some point I’d expect a missile back. I would know, even in the delirium of my Francophobic violence, that the French would target me for death one day, and what’s more that they would have every right to do so. So what’s with all the wailing and rushing for the fainting couch following Israel’s decapitation of the Houthi terror group? This is a virulently anti-Semitic militia that has been terrorising the Jewish State with bombs and drones for two years straight. Israel’s strike back is not a ‘war crime’, as the moral illiterates of the Israelophobic mob would have you believe – it’s justice.

Brendan O'Neill: As Bono now knows, you criticise Hamas at your peril

The mad backlash against U2 confirms pop music is under the spell of Islamo-fascism.

Bono’s getting flak again. What’s he done now? Foisted another U2 album on iPhone users? Donned his expensive shades for yet another gurning selfie with some president or pope? Nope, it’s far worse than that – he criticised Hamas.

Brendan O'Neill: The West is complicit in Hamas’s torture of the hostages

The recognition of Palestine is a sick reward for Hamas’s anti-Semitic atrocities.

We know why Hamas would drag two Jews underground and starve them: because it is an army of anti-Semites founded with the express intention of persecuting Jews. We know why it would humiliate the Jews further by taunting them on film, forcing one to dig his own grave for the cameras and capturing the other weeping in ravenous pain: because it revels in the psychological torment of what it views as a ‘lesser people’. And we know why it would marshal these two skeletal men – Evyatar David, 24, and Rom Bravslavski, 21 – to the end of horrifying the people of Israel: because its sole motivation is to wound, ideally fatally, the Jewish State.

Brendan O'Neill, How the West’s Israelophobia has made life hell for Palestinians

The human catastrophe in Gaza is a product of the delirious moralism of our anti-Israel elites.

A question haunts me: why are there still women and children in Gaza? This is a strip of land 25 miles long and seven miles wide. It’s a quarter the size of London. And for nearly two years it has been engulfed by war. An army of anti-Semites is fighting one of the dirtiest wars humanity has ever witnessed, hiding in civilian infrastructure to plot its murder of Jews. Israel is dropping bombs. There are gunfights. And there are all the horrors that attend war: death, hunger, sickness. And yet there they are, the women and children, fleeing the fighting and scrabbling for food alongside men.

Brendan O'Neill: The ‘Forever War’ we should really be worried about

Iran’s ceaseless and racist war on the Jewish State is the true cause of the mayhem in the Middle East.

Two big things happened on Sunday. First, America’s airforce pummelled nuclear sites in Iran. Using B-2 stealth bombers, they spirited bombs weighing 30,000lbs into Iranian airspace and unloaded them over Iran’s three most important uranium-enrichment facilities. The second event was less explosive. It didn’t bother the front pages of the papers nearly as much as America’s strike did. But to my mind it was just as important, certainly for anyone who yearns for a true understanding of what is happening in the Middle East. It was the IDF’s announcement that it had recovered the body of Ofra Kedar from Gaza.

Brendan O'Neill: Israel’s clash with Iran is nothing like the Iraq War

Remember when Saddam Hussein sponsored an army of fascists that invaded the United States and raped and murdered thousands of Americans? And when he funded a gang of religious fanatics to fire thousands of rockets at people in Leeds and Manchester here in the UK? And when he himself pressed the button on ballistic missiles that landed on New York City and London? No, me neither. Which makes it perplexing that Israel’s push against Iran is being compared to the Iraq War of 2003 – for Iran has done all of that to the Jewish nation, and it dreams of doing more.

Brendan O'Neill: A surgical strike against Islamist tyranny

Israel’s daring raid on Iran has dealt a devastating blow to a barbarous, war-mongering regime.

The world has awoken to news of a decapitation. Early this morning, Israel time, the air force of the Jewish State struck with astonishing precision against the tyrants and infrastructure of the Iranian regime. The top dogs of the Islamic republic have been taken out. Its nuclear facilities have been reduced to ashen wreckage. None of us can afford the luxury of political aloofness in this moment, far less that moral cowardice that masquerades as pacifism. Too much is at stake. Events compel us to stir from our insouciance and take a side for once.

Brendan O'Neill: Good riddance to Greta’s Gaza ship of fools

This narcissistic stunt summed up the fake virtue and lazy theatrics of modern activism.

So the seafaring stunt is over. The ship of narcissists has been intercepted. Greta Thunberg and her gaggle of self-righteous keffiyeh clowns have been thwarted. They’re on their way, not to Gaza, but to the Israeli port city of Ashdod. One envisions the Med ringing out with wails of ‘HOW DARE YOU’ as Greta and her muppet apostles berate Israel for foiling their messianic mission to save the people of Gaza from evil.

Brendan O'Neill: The West’s lies about Israel are falling apart

So it seems Mohammed Sinwar is dead. The de facto chief of Hamas in Gaza has been ‘eliminated’, says Israel. Yesterday, in a speech marking 600 days of war between the Jewish State and that army of anti-Semites, Benjamin Netanyahu said Sinwar was indeed killed in Israel’s airstrike on the European Hospital in Khan Younis on 13 May. If this is correct, then it is a blistering defeat not only for Hamas but also for the West’s furiously Israelophobic elites. For one of their chief libels against Israel – that it bombs hospitals for sport – may have just taken one hell of a beating.

Brendan O'Neill: Israel’s latest crime? Feeding the people of Gaza

The hysterical response to Israel’s aid initiative in Gaza has exposed the lunacy of Israelophobia.

Israel is behaving criminally again. It has once more turned its nose up at ‘humanitarian principles’. It is trampling even harder than usual all over international law. What inhuman act has the pariah state committed now? Brace yourselves: it is seeking to feed the people of Gaza.

Brendan O'Neill: How the cowardly West is emboldening Hamas

Britain, France, Canada and the UN are turning against Israel and boosting its psychopathic enemies.

There’s a surefire way to know you’re on the wrong side of history: you get praised by Hamas. This ignominious fate befell Britain, France and Canada this week. The three big hitters of the West’s liberal conscience issued a statement condemning Israel and guess who loved it? Yes, the army of anti-Semites devoted to Israel’s destruction. The neo-fascist militia that killed more Jews in one day on 7 October 2023 than anyone has since the Nazis. These nations have taken ‘a significant step in the right direction’, gushed the Jew-killers.

Brendan O'Neill: The Irish elites will do anything to keep Conor McGregor out of power

Another week, another blow to democracy in Europe. This time it’s in Ireland. According to the Irish Sunday Times, the government has binned plans for a directly elected mayor of Dublin because it fears the election of a swaggering populist. Well, one swaggering populist in particular: the MMA bruiser turned Trumpist braggart, Conor McGregor. It seems they’ll do anything to keep the contrarian from Crumlin out of power, including suspending democracy itself.

Brendan O'Neill: The insane campaign to decriminalise Hamas

A UK legal firm says it’s an abuse of ‘human rights’ to brand Hamas a terrorist outfit. Pull the other one.

It’s safe to say Britain did not cover itself in glory this week. We’ve had legal bigwigs warning that we risk resurrecting the crime of blasphemy following the charging of a man for burning the Koran. We saw the safeguarding minister, Jess Phillips, announce that the UK government can’t be ar*ed with inquiries into the industrial-scale abuse of working-class girls by gangs of mostly Pakistani Muslim men. And now, the icing on this rancid cake: British lawyers are agitating for Hamas to no longer be designated as a terrorist organisation.

Brendan O'Neill: The last thing Britain needs is Trump’s free-speech imperialism

Will Donald Trump save us benighted Brits from our speech-policing overlords? That’s the hope of Britain’s excitable right. They’re giddy at the news that the Trump administration is reportedly tying its trade deal with Britain to the issue of freedom of speech. ‘No free trade without free speech’, says one US source. In short, if the British state doesn’t stop muzzling the unwoke, our nation will suffer. Mighty America will rap our knuckles.

Brendan O'Neill: It was the woke elites who ‘purged’ America’s museums, not Donald Trump

This month’s Doublespeak Award goes to the BBC. President Trump is spearheading a ‘purge’ of America’s top museums, it breathlessly reports. The madman in the White House has instructed the Smithsonian Institution to put back all ‘memorials and statues’ that were ‘improperly removed’ from federal property in recent years, the Beeb says. Hold up. Call me a stickler for linguistic accuracy, but isn’t a purge when you tear monuments down, not when you put them back up?

Brendan O'Neill: A savage rupturing of our civilisation

They reduced Jews to ashes. In 2023, a fascist army burnt Jews to death. The Jews’ names were Ram Itamari, 56, a transportation manager, and his wife, Lili Itamari, 63, a schoolteacher. They were in their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza in southern Israel on 7 October 2023 when the unit of anti-Semites showed up. The gunmen saw the Jews through a window so they set fire to the house. It burned at such a scorching temperature that when the Israeli authorities finally went in, they found not one trace of the couple’s bodies. It took archaeologists three weeks of sifting through the soot to discover a sliver of bone. It was DNA-tested. It was them.

Brendan O'Neill: More UN lies about Israel

A new UN report on Israel’s ‘gender-based violence’ against Palestinians is full of hogwash.

The United Nations is hardly known for fair or cool commentary on Israel. But its latest report really takes the biscuit. It comes from its Human Rights Council. It is titled ‘More Than a Human Can Bear’. It is a breathless account of all the ‘gender-based violence’ Israel has apparently visited on Gaza since the start of the Israel-Hamas War. ‘Gender persecution’ and ‘sexual violence’ have been rife courtesy of those monsters in the Israel Defence Forces, the report says. Guess what? It’s hogwash. This is without question one of the most dishonest official documents I have ever read.

Brendan O'Neill: The death rattle of ‘the Resistance’

Remember when the phrase ‘the Resistance’ would conjure up visions of sexy French youths in berets battling actual Nazis? Now all it brings to mind is ageing dullards in pink suits holding up signs saying ‘This is not normal’ while sporting the most turbo-smug look on their faces. As US president Donald Trump spoke to a joint session of Congress last night, ‘across the aisle the Resistance was stirring’, gushed the Guardian’s DC reporter. His piece was illustrated with a pic of some congresswoman in pearls and a balding Democrat looking aghast as Trump talked. Seriously, if this is ‘the Resistance’, the world’s tyrants can rest easy.

Brendan O'Neill: Why are British police pandering to an Islamic State terrorist?

Call me harsh, but when a woman who has sworn allegiance to the Islamic State says she doesn’t like her police mugshot, surely the response should be: ‘Tough sh*t.’ Not in the West Midlands, it seems.

There, cops happily – one might even say obsequiously – issued a second mugshot of Farishta Jami shortly after she was convicted of preparing to join the most hateful and psychotic army on Earth.

Brendan O'Neill: JD Vance has signed the death warrant of the status quo

Well, that was a delicious spectacle. America’s self-made VP gloriously roasting the wizened technocrats of Europe. A Yank from dirt-poor origins sticking it to Europe’s turbo-smug ruling class. How they squirmed as the boy from Ohio who somehow made it to the top of US politics chastised them for their indecent desertion of the ideals of liberty, democracy and security. It was like an intellectual waterboarding, and I loved every minute of it.
