The level of media corruption exposed through the USAID revelations is staggering. Last week we learned of RSF’s (Reporters Without Borders) sudden loss of income and cash-flow due to Mr Trump’s freeze on all USAID payments, affected ‘training and support for 6,200 journalists, 707 non-state news outlets, and 279 media-sector civil society organisations’.
But, it’s much bigger and worse. Over the weekend, on X, WikiLeaks blew the lid off ‘Internews’ (IN), the organisation the WEF works ‘in collaboration’ with to strengthen ‘credible’ news and fight ‘disinformation’.
WikiLeaks reveals how Internews have sucked nearly half a billion dollars from the US taxpayer for “4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and ‘training’ over 9000 journalists (2023 figures)”. They say, “IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives.” The WEF want you to believe this $472m USD ($835m NZD) fund has been distributed through Internews head office:
I kid you not: that’s the [cough] international HQ of Internews, through which they administer grants to the 4,000+ outlets in their ‘progressive’ spider’s web. The HQ is where ‘President and CEO’ Jeanne Bourgault, also an ‘Agenda Contributor’ at WEF, earns her $396,000 USD salary.
‘Separate’ for funding purposes, but a completely connected arm of IN, the International Center For Journalists (ICFJ) has also tapped USAID for further multi-millions to “serve more than 177,000 journalists around the world, helping them cover the most critical issues of today”.
But, so what? How does it affect us? First: in a small way, and second: in a big way.
It affects us first in a small way: IN produces copy for some ‘news’ outlets locally. For instance: asiapacificreport.nz and associated eveningreport.nz. Go have a look: all anti-Trump, anti-Israel, climate-change and social-justice propaganda. Don’t believe me? Read all about it, the leftist spin is almost laughable:
But Internews is insidious, affecting us in a big way by openly undermining anyone not in their pay and financially strangling others. They do this by working with ad agencies to drive paying advertisers to IN-approved outfits through conglomerate GroupM:
IN's partner for this pincer move here is GroupM NZ, who run a local campaign called ‘Back to News’. The open subterfuge is spun as “enabling brands to support quality journalism by reallocating media budgets to credible news publishers”. Saying “the programme provides New Zealand advertisers with access to high-quality, brand-safe ad environments on vetted local, national, and international news sites”. With ‘vetted’, meaning Internews-approved, and ‘brand-safe’ meaning they’ll attempt to taint products by association with unapproved sites – like X.
What sort of Mickey Mouse media outlet would sign up for such chicanery in NZ? Our media? With such a high morals bar? I’m sorry to inform you that virtually all the major players here are involved in this patch-protection racket:
NZ news is tainted by this. The good news is that Trump is saving the struggling American taxpayers billions by shooting this rort down and, thanks to Trump, Musk’s DOGE team, WikiLeaks and others exposing it, we now know how dirty-news is financed, how deep their tentacles go here and that (almost) the entire ‘media’ industry here have wilfully played along and jumped, gleefully, on the great ‘vetted’, ‘brand-safe’ train, all the while tooting accusations of ‘disinformation’ at those not on board.
How very shabby. Enlightening, but shabby. Dirty news indeed.

This is indeed interesting and good news. President Trump is already starting to make America great again. Thank you for the article.
In chopping out this misappropriation and misdirection of USAID funds, Trump may even be helping to make NZ great again ... and we think thought the PIJF grubby and corrupting of our media (well it is/was!)
It’s been so obvious as the corrupt MSM spews propaganda day in day out. Climate Alarmism, anti Trump, anti Israel etc etc. Alternative views frightens those that have been tuning into this indoctrination on a daily basis.
A great propaganda example can be heard on NZME’s breakfast show with Mike Hosking. Voice of America, Richard Arnold has been an outrageous supporter of the diabolical Biden reign and denigrates Trump endlessly. The radio show’s objective is to simply to brainwash the vulnerable.
Permitting Arnold’s unfettered freedom brings into question as to who is funding this media company?
