The USA’s anti-communist crusade went too far in the McCarthy era, now under Trump the pendulum has swung too far with President Trump siding, not with communism but the communist leader, Putin, the aggressor, against Ukraine and its President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Putin a "communist leader"? Hardly. He is a Russian social and moral conservative and a practising member of the Russian Orthodox Church. The temptation to label him a communist arises from the modern history of Russia and the observation that Russia is at geopolitical and ideological loggerheads with the West (especially with the US) but should be resisted. If labels are needed, let's give "third way" a go.

When you watch the recent reporting of the White House Trump/Zelenski meeting please note it is the usual suspect MSM who are dissing Trump. There is much more to this story behind the scenes. A couple of points: Zelensky backed Kamala Harris for president , US officials tried to get a peace deal signed twice before, ahead of this particular meeting. False reporting leads to false conclusions, especially in New Zealand.
It is beneath me to comment on the on the mouth-foaming bullshit except to note that such utterances could get you into an asylum in the old USSR.
As for Putin and religion, let me quote from the Wikipedia entry:
