The president has become the most dominant world leader in decades.
Apparently, there is no end to Donald Trump’s global ambitions nor his ability to turn his hopes and dreams into reality. Entering his second term locked and loaded, he removed the most dire threat to the civilized world by obliterating Iran’s nuclear program, coerced NATO countries to finally pay the piper for their own defense, and brokered agreements between numerous long-time enemies. Trump forced a deal to release every hostage held by Hamas, ended the war between Israel and Iran, established a globally inclusive Board of Peace to rebuild Gaza, took down the ringleader of the narco-terrorist regime in Venezuela, and has now established a framework for American sovereignty in Greenland.
And let’s not forget the move that is arguably the most significant for the economy of the homeland: attracting a reported $18 trillion dollars – that’s an 18 followed by 12 zeros – in fresh investments across the US, with economic growth already soaring to levels few could have possibly anticipated. You can hardly count up the victories without a scorecard.
Donald Trump Overshadows the World
President Trump has become nothing less than the master of America’s destiny, dominating the world stage as no American president since Ronald Reagan in the 1980’s. Proof positive of his towering presence around the globe came most recently at the anachronistic World Economic Forum in Switzerland. Global elitists who had been attacking the American president over his plans for Greenland were swiftly brought to heel, highlighting the president’s masterful employment of tariffs as leverage, a classic carrot-and-stick exercise applied to friends and foes alike, almost always producing the desired results. The administration’s 2025 National Security Strategy lays it all out: “We will no longer tolerate, and can no longer afford, free-riding, trade imbalances, predatory economic practices, and other impositions on our nation’s historic goodwill that disadvantage our interests.”
Through it all, the 47th president has exploited his bully pulpit to the maximum degree, intent on finishing the job he started in 2017 of transforming the country from the long-standing globalist “rules-based international order” to America First. The weakness and failure of Joe Biden, together with a fresh perspective gathered over his four years away from the White House and his convincing victory in the 2024 election, have provided the platform for Trump to act with astonishing boldness to reverse America’s decline. While the president deserves the credit for shaking up the world, the stars certainly aligned to provide him the opportunity to do so.
Nevertheless, did anyone foresee the decimation of Iran’s nuclear ambitions? How about the breathtaking capture of Nicolás Maduro? Did we expect this president to succeed in coaxing so many long-time enemies to the bargaining table and engineering agreements that had been on nobody’s dance card, likely including Trump’s? Indeed, Trump has quietly brokered deals or ceasefires between Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan. While the likelihood of a deal to end Russia’s unprovoked war on Ukraine should rightly be viewed with great skepticism given Vladimir Putin’s intransigence, the continuation of that conflict will not be due to a lack of effort by the American president.
Hemispheric-Level Change
Meanwhile, Trump’s reassertion of the 200-year-old Monroe Doctrine has already changed the face of the Western Hemisphere. The linchpin of instability in our own backyard, Venezuela, is no longer a threat, assuming the so-far smooth transition from a Marxist dictatorship to democracy continues apace. The seemingly endless flow of lethal drugs has been severely diminished with the shuttering of the southern border together with a naval blockade of Venezuela and the seizure of dozens of drug-running vessels on the high seas. The “Donroe Doctrine,” asserting American supremacy in the Western Hemisphere, is the new standard for international conduct, with Trump able to assert American power with impunity after having long since proven that his threats against our enemies are anything but empty.
The “Golden Dome” missile defense shield to protect the American homeland, first conceived by Reagan before such technology was available, is now in the offing with a deal on Greenland in the cards. And the president has announced plans for a $1 trillion investment in rebuilding the U.S. military. Trump is laser-focused on another pledge in his National Security Strategy: “The United States must never be dependent on any outside power for core components — from raw materials to parts to finished products—necessary to the nation’s defense or economy. We must re-secure our own independent and reliable access to the goods we need to defend ourselves and preserve our way of life.”
Whether you love or hate him, it has become impossible to deny that Donald Trump has become the president of peace. He has gambled and won with extreme measures that no other president could or would attempt to protect the homeland and expand America’s influence around the globe for the purpose of enriching and protecting the country. His countless enemies on the left, still plagued by advanced-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome, appear singularly focused on vilifying ICE and protecting criminal illegal aliens, knowing they cannot afford to disparage him for pursuing peace, prosperity, and national security. Thus, they have all but ignored his many laudable accomplishments on the world stage. But in the space of a single year, the 75 million voters who elected him to a second term on the basis of a sweeping, audacious agenda have seen him accomplish something aspired to by every American president. He has brought profound, lasting change to the country and the world.

Donner seems to think that we should ignore our eyes and ears and trust his assessment of Trump.
What a nice picture he paints of Trump, while the rest of the world sees a man with a disgraceful history, a convicted criminal, little control of his mouth, an outrageous ego, someone not fit to be in charge of the Big Red Button that can destroy the world.
Yes, it is quite multi faceted...

Well written Tim.
The corrupt Democrats were forced to manufacture millions of additional votes during the 2020 rigged election to remove Trump from office. Once in office and desperate to retain power they opened the borders to tens of millions of grateful illegal emigrants to garner future voting support.
These illegals reside in Blue State called “sanctuary cities” funded by US tax payers and included in the current census determining additional political appointments in the House of Representatives.
Trump has been given an overwhelming mandate at the last election to remove these illegals.
The corrupt MSM throughout the world has vilified I.C.E.s activity by ignoring the fact that the Democrats are wilfully staging a real insurrection against its own legal Govt.
Trump is also trying to force voter ID that the Dems are fighting him on. One would only fight this if one wanted to cheat eh?
The real killers of Democracy are the Democrats themselves.
Vic, I've traveled extensively globally and rarely heard a positive word about Trump.
His early history has been written by Mary Trump, the business history is well documented, his personal life is well recorded, his 30,000 lies as Trump 1, God knows how many each day as Trump 2.
And now the world revolves around whatever comes out of his mouth .
Why ?
I particularly dislike how ICE is detaining American citizens and, occasionally, shooting American citizens. All under the instruction of the Trump executive branch. I also find it interesting how the government is deploying immigration enforcement manly to states and cities with lower number of immigrants that other states and cities. I also find it interesting that the Trump justice department continues to obstruct and break the law with regards to the Epstein files. Interesting, abhorrent, fascist.
The weird thing looking back will be how they managed to convince the poor to vote for this lunatic. Having multiple propaganda outlets under their control doesn’t hurt, I suppose.
I recently met someone who had actually personally met Trump and to his surprise found him compassionate and gentle. Before the meeting he had the same opinion of Trump that MSM and those on this blog subscribe to -a really horrible individual.
I am not Trump's fan and acknowledge he has a horrible past of womanising and being
a playboy but he has in my opinion done much good in cancelling woke nonsense , ridding the country of illegal immigrants which according to recent stats. , has dramatically reduced the crime rate , ridiculed the crazy Climate Cult, closed down the iniquitous Education Dept. ( we could do with that ), investigated the disastrous Covid vaccines and supported Israel.
The opposition he has experienced has been outrageous and very ugly. He is for me a gift to the Western World despite all his warts.
When we were in New York before Trumps first victory, all blue- collar workers we met were pro-Trump. Much of that written in the MSM is absolute nonsense. We knew nothing about Trump, but I think his supporters have been absolutely vindicated. The key for me is somebody doing exactly what they promised to do. Illegal immigration is not the same as legal immigration.
409 anon on the wrong side of history. For them it is all about owning the libs, even if it is at the cost of personal freedom or the rule of law. Who cares if Obama deported more immigrants who had no legal right to be in the country? Feelings over facts for my learned commenter above.
Quoting from another story I read on what is going down over there:
“Just down the street, the memorial to Alex Pretti is packed with people. It's busy but quiet. The ground is now covered in flowers and messages – echoing various truths we know about Alex. He was an ICU nurse. He had so many friends. He was loved. And he was executed right here – his crime apparently recording some ICE agents on his phone, and attempting to help a woman.
As with the murder of Renee Good – the people here aren't forgetting.”
I don’t mind him detaining his own citizens without cause, or lying, or assaulting women, or cheating on his wife, or covering up the largest sex trafficking scandal in history. As long as he says all the right things and is polite in person, people must continue to vote for him. Don’t worry that he is increasing the national debt at a rate never before seen. Don’t worry that the cost of living continues to skyrocket under his watch. He’s a great watch and a brilliant orator.
Fully agree Janine! The way he ended the Russia - Ukraine in the first week of his presidency (on time, as promised) was a sign of true greatness. And fully vindicated with him receiving the FIFA (tm) peace prize.
Statistically speaking, you are now more likely to be shot by ICE than you are to compete against a trans person.
I liked the one today an American lady was running away from ICE and one of them fired a non lethal round point blank at her hand and blew part of her hand off. Nothing smells more like freedom. And people call Trump a fascist, I see no evidence.
