Tim Donner: The Golden Age of Trump - The Future

From the moment Donald Trump made his grand entrance onto the political stage, one of the primary lines of attack against the bombastic outsider, among countless others, is that he “is only out for himself.” In fact, that was a core message of Democrats across the land and prominent commercials for both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that aired thousands of times during the 2024 presidential campaign. Biden/Harris care about the working man and woman, while Trump only seeks his own glory. It was a bookend narrative to Trump’s famously successful ad tying Harris to a purple-haired freak depicted as they/them, while Trump is for you.

Tim Donner: On the Brink - Long National Nightmare for Cuba Is Almost Over

Poverty. Hunger. Disease. Darkness. Misery. These have, for 67 years, been the defining characteristics of life in Cuba, a beautiful island nation 90 miles from American shores, brought to its knees by communism. Since Fidel Castro seized power on New Year’s Day 1959, the country has been in a death spiral, propped up for years by Soviet communists, then by Venezuela’s discount oil courtesy of President Nicolás Maduro until his capture. But now, finally, the totalitarian regime that has enslaved the people of Cuba has weakened to the point that its demise appears imminent.

Tim Donner: The Left Embraces Anarchy

Democrats pile on as Minnesota becomes indistinguishable from a Third World banana republic.

What do the leaders of a political party do when their hated enemy is dominating the stage and grabbing all the headlines for actions of seismic proportions? They welcome any port in the storm. And for Democrats and the left in 2026, endlessly frustrated by the many historic accomplishments of President Donald Trump, that means embracing anarchy, defined as a state of disorder due to the absence or nonrecognition of authority or other controlling systems.

Tim Donner: Donald Trump, Master of America’s Destiny

The president has become the most dominant world leader in decades.

Apparently, there is no end to Donald Trump’s global ambitions nor his ability to turn his hopes and dreams into reality. Entering his second term locked and loaded, he removed the most dire threat to the civilized world by obliterating Iran’s nuclear program, coerced NATO countries to finally pay the piper for their own defense, and brokered agreements between numerous long-time enemies. Trump forced a deal to release every hostage held by Hamas, ended the war between Israel and Iran, established a globally inclusive Board of Peace to rebuild Gaza, took down the ringleader of the narco-terrorist regime in Venezuela, and has now established a framework for American sovereignty in Greenland.

Tim Donner: Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, and the Domino Theory

The once-discredited hypothesis might be proving true – again

Those who lived through the horrors of the Vietnam War will remember the justification for American involvement in a conflict on the other side of the world. It was called the domino theory, based on the notion that communism in one country would trigger a chain reaction, toppling neighboring nations like dominoes. And while the theory has largely been discredited because it is so closely associated with a lost war Americans would rather forget, it is not without logic or merit. In fact, the domino theorists were eventually proven right after the US quit the war, as South Vietnam was swallowed up by North Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos also went Communist, and Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines normalized ties with Communist China. History is replete with events of great magnitude in one country that, for better or worse, spilled over into other nations and regions. So, since Venezuela has fallen, Iran is falling, and Cuba may well be next, let’s consider whether a less regional and more global application of the domino theory could be in play right now.

Tim Donner: Maduro - How His Daring Capture Will Change the World

This could stand as the most significant geopolitical event since 9/11

They got him. The nightmare of Nicolas Maduro’s illegitimate, murderous regime in Venezuela and the untold hundreds of thousands who have died at the hands of the lethal drugs pouring in from the South American narco-terrorist state has mercifully come to an end. After the daring capture of Maduro and his wife in the dark of night, the question quickly turns to what will happen next in once-prosperous Venezuela and, most importantly, how the success of this breathtaking military and law enforcement operation will change the geopolitics of not just the western hemisphere, but the entire world.

Tim Donner: Trump Scorecard - Hits and Misses of 2025

This year has made the president's first four years look like a mere dress rehearsal.

After spending the year implementing his audacious agenda at a frenetic pace, we might have thought Donald Trump would at least take a break on Christmas Day. Perhaps he would sit back for a moment and reflect on his extraordinary volume of executive and legislative initiatives and limit his engagement to missives wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. But of course, that would be totally out of character for a president who barely sleeps and treats each day in office as if it were his last. So Trump took to Truth Social and posted more than 100 times, in between dropping bombs on ISIS in Nigeria.

Tim Donner: President Trump Reaches the Heights of Power

He may never command the stage more than right now.

The pinnacle of success for any American president is to gain control of the agenda for both the nation and the world. And after almost six months in office, and especially the last two weeks, President Donald J. Trump has come as close to achieving that goal as any president in a lifetime.

Tim Donner: The MAGA Divide on Iran - Hawks vs Doves

President Donald Trump is facing a serious dilemma regarding Israel and Iran. He stands for three things that may soon come into direct conflict with each other. He is, above all, America-First, but he is also a self-proclaimed crusader for peace and a transactional, pragmatic chief executive. That first identifying trait suggests Trump will protect American interests at all costs, eschewing the nation-building of previous presidents. The second translates to avoiding another foreign war, this time in Iran. The third calls for a pragmatic, realistic assessment of Iran’s ongoing threat to US national security and the ripe opportunity before him to eliminate it once and for all.

Tim Donner: Vaccine Cover-Up - The Greatest Biden Scandal of All

It is an undeniable scandal of mammoth proportions, but one that is – surprise, surprise – still being ignored by major media. It all began in February of 2021, shortly after Joe Biden took the oath of office with the pandemic still raging. Health officials in Israel sent a dire warning to the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) detailing “large reports of myocarditis, particularly in young people” who received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Many doctors and vaccinated individuals witnessed the same phenomenon here in the US.

Tim Donner: Tracking the Trump Tsunami

Calling him an activist president would be the understatement of the year.

A tsunami is a gigantic tidal wave that you know is coming but are powerless to stop or alleviate. The best you can do is gird your loins and run for the hills. That is the position in which Democrats find themselves these days as the Trump executive tsunami consumes everything in its wake. The Dems are huddled together in the disintegrating shelter of the DC Swamp, decrying the inevitable but realizing they will get swept away and that the damage to their way of life will be incalculable. It is something to behold.

Tim Donner: Jimmy Carter - From Political Failure to Personal Triumph

A failed presidency did not prevent him from becoming a consequential former president.

In the fullness of time, our late 39th president, who died at 100 years old on Sunday, December 29, will never be mentioned among the giants of American history. In fact, the name of Jimmy Carter has, in the more than four decades since he departed the White House, been included in almost every conversation about the nation’s least effective chief executives.

Tim Donner: The Slow, Painful, and Imminent Demise of DEI

It has become deeply embedded in American culture, requiring a herculean effort by Donald Trump to reverse.

It is the most malignant foundation of progressive ideology. Elon Musk, among others, calls it a “mind virus.” And it appears the American people who were bullied into accepting it have finally had enough. It is the gospel of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), which was given birth by Barack Obama and then overwhelmed the country with remarkable ease and haste following the George Floyd affair in 2020 when liberals and conservatives alike were riven with anger.
