“The return for major concessions that will be asked of Iran is the lifting of sanctions, sanctions that were taken at the United Nations,” Barrot said, referring to a vote in September last year.
As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, France holds the power to veto any accords.
“So, as was the case 10 years ago, France will have to give its approval for the sanctions to be lifted,” Barrot declared, a reference to the landmark nuclear deal that suspended international sanctions on Iran in January 2016.
This is basically France saying they think the US has surrendered too quickly, and they won’t go along with lifting sanctions without a better deal!
When France is saying you have surrendered too quickly, you know it is a bad deal!

All these countries that refused to support trump now wants the us to keep going for regime change- which the USA said right from day 1, was not the objective
Haven’t bothered with any msm coverage of this war because 50% of it has been sourced from the incredibly biased cnn while the rest has been entirely made up.
Iran has been defanged - and very very effectively. (The objective)Its air defence has been obliterated it’s navy is down to dinghy’s with outboard motors and the army is fighting it’s own people on the ground. Russia and China have been slapped back into place in the region, while USA + surrounding gulf country relations are at an all time high. (Anyone else notice the Muslim nations surrounding Iran were supporting the Israel USA actions, not hindering)
Yes the deal is bad but largely irrelevant because of all the above. The only part of the deal that matters is the nuclear component) Plus anything else requires regime change which requires troops on the ground. This would prolong the war, the high prices of everything and the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. It also wasn’t the objective.
Meanwhile in a year or two they can build an over land pipeline that bypasses the strait removing the last bit of leverage Iran has….problem solved.

France is saying what every other country is saying. Trump is a loser at negotiations.
A question for Anon @ 5.56am (nice early start, BTW): If Iran has been so "very very effectively" 'defanged' (as you say), how is it still able to maintain effective control over the SoH, attacking ships at will?
