Tony Sayers: Be Careful Where You Stick Your Moko
Labels: colonisation, separatist propaganda, Tony SayersI have just read about the Maori outrage over the usage of a cartoon figure decorated with a moko (tattoo) for advertising a Covid-19 vaccination programme, that was commissioned by a Te Tiriti Joint Governance Group, comprised of the Bay of Plenty District Health Board and Te Rūnanga Hauora Māori o te Moana a Toi. {1], [5].
The depiction of a virus decorated with tā moko has offended a considerable number of Maori.
Labour List MP, Tamati Coffey has dubbed this illustration as being racist [2].
In New Zealand, (Oops, Aotearoa), the bulk of accusations made in the news media about incidents of racism appear to be of Maori accusing Pakehas of racism. To date, where there have been incidents of racism by Maori towards pakeha, they just do not receive any publicity, consequently the public become conditioned to the idea that only Pakeha can be racist.

Tony Sayers: Rats in The Attic and Bats in The Belfry?
Labels: apartheid, Critical Race Theory, Hate Speech Law, Tony SayersFor that reason, I feel the need to preface this article by stating that the objective of this article is to hold up for scrutiny and condemn, the preoccupation that the Ardern Government has for pitting races against each other.
With reference to the proposed Hate Speech Laws, on 25/06/2021, Justice Minister Kris Faafoi stated: ‘The proposals are also focused on speech inciting hatred in other people towards a group, rather than towards one individual’.[3]
The Labour Government is ‘a group’, however, I am not inciting hatred towards them, they are doing a fine job of that without any help from me. Is this a ploy to suppress any criticism of the government?

Tony Sayers: The Two Headed Taniwha
Labels: He Puapua, Separatist Rule, Tony SayersAs mentioned in my previous posts, prior to my realization of what was developing within Maoridom, I was a quiet average citizen getting on with my life. When political stuff came onto the TV screen, I flipped to another channel. I just left governing to the government. That’s what we elected them to do. Their role was to act in the interests of all citizens and to do what they promised to do in their election manifestos. I was just like the bulk of the population, happily cruising through each day, oblivious to what was happening within government.
Whilst a government was doing its job honestly, I paid no interest, and like many people today, resented anyone shoving their political views in my face, and there lies a large part of today’s problem. Apathy to politics and resentment of anything that disturbs our tranquillity. We are all just human.
At this point I have to reiterate a few points that have been mentioned in a previous post, or by other authors as a transition to where this article is headed. I see the problem as a two-headed taniwha. One head is the Ardern Government, and the other head is the Maori Sovereignty Movement. My article addresses both factions.

Tony Sayers: The Report of Matike Mai Aotearoa
Labels: constitution, He Puapua, Matike Mai Aotearoa, Tony SayersWhat is MATIKE MAI AOTEAROA.
It is the name of
the Independent Working Group On Constitutional Transformation.
It sounds like a
quasi-official body but it is not. It is
an offshoot of the Iwi Chairs Forum and is funded by the J.R. McKenzie Trust.
It is chaired by Professor Margaret Mutu. Moana Jackson is the convenor.
Their mission was to prepare the framework for what has morphed into the He Puapua proposal.
If you are still
in the dark, this is a Maori driven agenda to replace our present form of
Government, using a radical restructure, that is comprised of a Maori
Government and a Government for Non-Maori.
The Maori
Government will hold a power of veto over many of the other government’s
functions, but there is not a reciprocal power of veto for the non-Maori
Government and they talk of equality.
In effect, The
Government for non-Maori cannot function without Maori approval.
In short ‘Two Governments for One Country’ this sounds like a recipe for trouble down the line.

Tony Sayers: Through Pakeha Eyes
Labels: Jacinda Ardern's Labour Government, Racism debate, Separatist Rule, Tony SayersTo date, the media has swamped us with articles about the countless demands and accusations from the Maori Sovereignty Movement. The non-Maori component of the population have tended to remain silent through fear of being branded racist. Even those who call for equality have been branded as racist by the Maori trolls because equality and their agenda are incompatible. They subdue their critics by calling them ‘Racist’.
Rawiri Waititi and
Debbie Ngarewa-Packer pulled this stunt in Parliament last week in an attempt
to intimidate opponents to the He Puapua strategy, and to try and
stifle debate on the issue.
They enjoy the publicity and like to portray the image of being the victims.
My stance is for
true equality for all people, regardless of race, colour or creed.
So, go ahead and
call me racist, the Maori activists are the only ones who believe it.
There are truths that need to be spoken – and I will speak them.

Tony Sayers: He Puapua - the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
Labels: He Puapua, Tony Sayers, UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, UNDRIPIntroduction:
The document ‘He Puapua’ is apparently, the roadmap for the implementation of ‘The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples’ (UNDRIP) into New Zealand Law by the Year 2040.
This implies that He Puapua should reflect the principles of UNDRIP. However, as I read both documents, it becomes apparent that this is not entirely the case. He Puapua, is using UNDRIP as a disguise, it is obviously a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
