Amy Gallagher: I Was Forced Out of an NHS Training Course for My Belief in Colour-Blind Meritocracy.....
Labels: Amy Gallagher, Colour-blind beliefs, Critical Race Theory, Tavistock.....It’s Time for the Courts to Intervene
In 2020, I enrolled at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust to become a psychotherapist. Infamous now for its disbanded Gender Identity Development Service, the Tavistock was one of the first NHS trusts to declare itself an ‘anti-racist’ organisation. As part of my training, it pushed its policy seminar, “Whiteness: a problem for our time”, where, it claimed, “a key and urgent question then for those of us who are regarded as White is, how do we interrogate our whiteness?” I was told I needed to view all white people as racist as it was the Tavistock’s official ‘anti-racist’ stance.

The Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) has released draft statements on cultural competence, cultural safety, and Hauora Māori. These documents are presented as neutral professional guidance, but their structure, language, and underlying assumptions reveal a clear ideological lineage. They embed Critical Theory, Critical Race Theory, Critical Indigeneity, and decolonisation ideology into the regulatory framework governing medical practice.

John Raine: A Trump Card for Science?
Labels: Critical Race Theory, DEI agendas, Election of President Donald Trump, Professor John Raine, UniversitiesTrump’s Election as a Reaction to Identity Politics
The weeks following Donald Trump’s election win have seen numerous mainstream and blog commentaries on the possible consequences of Donald Trump’s Presidential win. Existential despair from the left, and “Thank God we can now change direction” from the right.
A common observation from conservative commentators is that voters reacted to the capture of the Democrats by critical social justice agendas and identity politics, and the Democrats’ failure to read the mood of the majority. We saw something similar with the demise of the Ardern-Hipkins government In New Zealand in October 2023.

John Porter: Pushing Back on Critical Race Theory
Labels: Critical Race Theory, John Porter, Marxism, School resetn to fight CRTWith Critical Race Theory (CRT), we face a doctrine deeply embedded for decades with its genesis in Marxism.
I have written earlier that we should all have serious concerns about the incremental creep of CRT into our lives and also into our country’s culture and governance.

The Thinker: Segregated spaces at Auckland University - why the surprise?
Labels: Critical Race Theory, Segregation at Auckland University, The Thinker, Time to Dismantle our Rotting HouseWhen the recent controversy broke concerning the “designated area for Maori and Pasifika Students” at the University of Auckland, I reflected on an article I read authored by a Law Lecturer at Auckland University on 5th June 2020. The title of the article was “Time to Dismantle our rotting house”. The article is still available online.
“Time to Dismantle our rotting house” was written by an Auckland University Law lecturer in response to and inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. The article links the “black struggle” in the United States with that of “black” and “brown” folk in New Zealand.

John Porter: Can We Fight Critical Race Theory?
Labels: Academia, Critical Race Theory, He Puapua, John Porter, Maori as victims of colonisation, MSM, Systemic Racism, Te Mana o te WaiHello, it’s John Porter on Bay FM and today I’m talking about Critical Race Theory (CRT).
No, not heard of CRT? Well, it’s a significant issue around the world these days and seems to be becoming embedded in the thinking of certain sectors of our society.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) seeks to explain the multitude of ways that race and racism have become embedded in modern societies. The core idea is that we need to look beyond individual acts of racism and make structural changes to prevent and remedy racial discrimination.

Barbara McKenzie: NZ Children Can’t Read or Write, So Let Them Vote
Labels: 2023 Election, Barbara McKenzie, Critical Race Theory, Education, Youth voteThe New Zealand Supreme Court has ruled in favour of lowering the voting age to 16.
‘Justice France told the court it was inconsistent with the Bill of Rights to not allow 16-year-olds to vote, and the decision of the Court of Appeal was overturned.’
Jacinda Ardern announced the same day, 21 November, that the Cabinet had decided ‘to draft a piece of legislation with a proposal to lower the age to 16 for the whole of Parliament to consider’. While the required 75% majority makes its success unlikely, Labour’s present majority means this may be its best chance for a long time, and if the Bill does gets through, it will be very difficult to reverse. However it comes at an interesting time:

Melanie Phillips: Whoopi Goldberg
Labels: Antisemitism, Critical Race Theory, Melanie Phillips, Whoopi GoldbergWhoopi Goldberg has got herself into a terrible mess. She was suspended from her role as co-host of ABC’s The View talk show after saying that the Holocaust wasn’t about race. It was instead, she said, about “man’s inhumanity to man” involving “white people doing it to white people”.
She insisted: “It’s about how people treat each other. It’s a problem. It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white, Jews … everybody eats each other”.
This was clearly idiotic. The signature characteristic of German Nazism was that it set out to exterminate Jews as a race, identifying them as targets for annihilation on the basis of even a tenuous ancestral connection with Judaism.
Attempting to apologise in the ensuing storm, Goldberg made things even worse. Saying she had now learned that “Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race,” she then told Stephen Colbert on his late-night comedy show that the Nazis had lied and actually had issues not with race but with ethnicity — which caused further outrage and prompted another apology.

Effi Lincoln: Failing the Commonsense Test
Labels: Critical Race Theory, Effi Lincoln, Equity, Treaty propagandaFailing the commonsense test: Concepts of equity in 1840 tribal Māori and fake treaty "principles" today.
Equity means equality of outcome. It’s a key demand of Māori supremacists. They say our government’s obligation to provide equality of outcomes arises directly from the “principles” created when their ancestors signed the Treaty of Waitangi 181 years ago.
They are more opaque when defining whether that equality of outcome should be applied on a tribal basis, or on an individual basis. Tribal equity and individual equity are two very different beasts.
On 6 August this year Michelle Mako, the “Director of Equity” at Te Aho o Te Kahu (literally meaning “To Be the Binding Thread of the Cloak” but somehow translating to “The Cancer Control Agency of New Zealand”), wrote a blog titled “In the interest of equity: Te Tiriti o Waitangi”.

Effi Lincoln: Nine ways to disengage from the Woke praxis of Critical Race Theory in New Zealand.
Labels: Critical Race Theory, Effi Lincoln, The Fight BackEvery time you use te reo you owe Māori more.
New Zealanders are increasingly asking what is going wrong in our beautiful country, despite us working so hard to make it inclusive and fair?
Why are there increasing demands to dismantle and replace our culture, our language balance and indeed, our entire political system which, until now, we have understood to be generally heading in the right direction?
And New Zealanders are pleading to know; What can we do to stop this juggernaut hurtling us all down the road to ruin?
How can we push back?

Tony Sayers: Rats in The Attic and Bats in The Belfry?
Labels: apartheid, Critical Race Theory, Hate Speech Law, Tony SayersFor that reason, I feel the need to preface this article by stating that the objective of this article is to hold up for scrutiny and condemn, the preoccupation that the Ardern Government has for pitting races against each other.
With reference to the proposed Hate Speech Laws, on 25/06/2021, Justice Minister Kris Faafoi stated: ‘The proposals are also focused on speech inciting hatred in other people towards a group, rather than towards one individual’.[3]
The Labour Government is ‘a group’, however, I am not inciting hatred towards them, they are doing a fine job of that without any help from me. Is this a ploy to suppress any criticism of the government?

Effi Lincoln: Why I stopped learning te reo
Labels: Critical Race Theory, Effi Lincoln, te reo“These are strange days for Māori and politics, and the growing use of te reo is again a focus. Place names, greetings, familiar phrases: For some New Zealanders these words represent a threat”, said journalist Phillip Matthews disparagingly, in his Stuff article Mind your language: the backlash against the te reo revival (Stuff 11 June 21).
A “threat” in the Merriam-Webster dictionary is defined as “an
indication of something impending”.
Are you one of the New Zealanders feeling this threat of something
impending?
If so, take heart, you are not alone and you are not a “flat earther”. You have good cause to feel unease. Something big is impending. But to understand this, we need to step back from an immediate focus on te reo. Focusing on this aspect of the threat is like focusing on the fin, rather than the shark.

Clive Bibby: Critical race theory - the cancer that never sleeps
Labels: Clive Bibby, Critical Race TheoryModern society is under attack - mostly from within.
The monster on our doorstep is slowly destroying the defences we have traditionally relied on to save us from ourselves.
Like the worst cancers, it eats away at our foundations until it is discovered in forms that will not respond to treatment - and by then sadly, it is usually too late.
I am talking about the phenomenon known as “ The critical race theory “ which is currently cutting a swath through the United States virtually unchallenged.
Moreover, we are beginning to see the same destructive power subtly undermining the foundations of our own society, aided and abetted, even promoted by our government, local authorities and main stream media - ironically the three most important components who normally defend us against such damnable intrusion.
If this rogue serial killer is not stopped within this administration’s current term, we face the prospects of a weakened western civilisation that will provide easy pickings for those communist states that seek global domination.
