DTNZ: Tamaki blasts Chippie in fiery X post over ‘Real Men’

Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki has launched a scathing attack on former Prime Minister Chris ‘Chippie’ Hipkins on X, ridiculing him over comments about masculinity and leadership.

Tamaki’s remarks come after Hipkins criticised church members for protesting transgender events. The former PM later appeared at the Pride Parade in Auckland, prompting Tamaki to mock him for “waving a rainbow flag” while attempting to “lecture” him on what defines a man.

“You can’t even define what a woman is, but here you are trying to school me on what makes a man,” said Tamaki, referencing Hipkins’ now infamous inability to answer the question ‘what is a woman?’ at a press conference in April 2023.

“But mate… have you seen the comments section on your post? Absolute slaughterhouse,” Tamaki wrote, suggesting that public sentiment was overwhelmingly against Hipkins. “Kiwis are lining up to tell you to sit this one out, mate—and honestly, they’ve got a point.”

Tamaki took aim at Hipkins’ leadership credentials, claiming he had been “playing politics in the Beehive sandpit” while Tamaki stood “with tens of thousands of Kiwis” protesting COVID-19 lockdowns and mandates. He went as far as to suggest Hipkins should be in prison for his government’s handling of the pandemic.

Tamaki also outlined his definition of masculinity, asserting that “real men” are family-oriented, defend their country’s freedoms, and do not “fold like a deck chair” under pressure. “They also don’t bail” on their wife and children, he said.

Closing his message with a final dig at Hipkins’ tenure as Prime Minister, Tamaki quipped: “Because right now, your burns are about as effective as your time as PM… short-lived, ineffective and forgettable.”

Seems to me the Council is largely to blame for enabling these egotistical, proselytising, exhibitionist deviants from normal, to besport their curious hobby pass time in a library. Hopefully they were not paid. I wonder how many parents realised exactly what they were to be "entertained" by. We seem determined to convince populations from infanthood that normal is not.

Libraries are supposed to be places of learning not indoctrination of tiny children into DEI cults even if deluded parents agree.

I am sorry someone got injured but don't get into situations which are highly controversial and consequently invoke violence because of the intense antagonism between the opposing groups. Small children should not be taken to places which could become a protest site .A friend who was at the Posie Parker speech in Auckland domain said she promptly left when it turned ugly. You could watch one of these Rainbow sessions , no doubt on TV if you wish. with your child.
