I agree 100%, Sean !
Luxon has let us down badly - he has time to study Maori language, but cannot read the messages from his voters.

Hurrah!
At last, someone who has the guts to tell it like it is.
Thoroughly endorse your choice of replacement as well.
But it needs to happen asap in order for Judith to stamp her mark on the leadership before the next election.
Also, the National and NZ First parties need to change their stance on support for the Seymour Treaty Principles Bill even if it is just to say they will promote it as policy at the next election campaign. They can’t be expected to change during the current term but all bets are off leading up to the next election.
When the dust settles on the submissions to the bill, my guess is that we will find a majority of the 300,000 plus are in favour.
Most Kiwis including the average Maori want nothing to do with this radical interpretation of the Treaty.
What part of simple English do we not understand.

Not before time. I for one am sick of his prevarication and side-stepping the issue, especially the race one - which is dividing the country and costing us $billions in lost productivity and misguided virtue signalling. Unlike what John Key and his current disciple believes, this issue, like a cancer, is only going to keep growing and it's time we, the mugs that are paying for it all, had a direct say. Just like the $billions we are now getting committed to on the climate front, all without appropriate justification and discussion. Our politicians need to learn we are the people they are supposed to represent and they should seek our mandate on the big issues. Luxon deceived us about getting us 'back on track' and he arrogantly stated his position on the TP Bill before the public had spoken and by doing so, he's essentially denied us the opportunity of a referendum. He is not fit to be our PM and he most certainly isn't the leader this country so patently needs at this time.

Could join TP Maori or Greens

The economy is important. However, more important is our democracy. The PM never addresses that issue. Well, actually he keeps referring to us as living in a democracy but most of parliaments speeches constantly address the largesse being granted to Maori. Housing, health, charter schools and joint business ventures. One group being given special favours is not consistent with democracy. A Prime Minister should know that.

By the time of the next election the economy won't be much better than it is now, an awful of of people will still be doing it tough and willing to vote for a party that gives them more handouts.

Luxon had better have some victory he can show them or he's a gone burger. Perhaps he can save democracy in this country by changing his mind and supporting the treaty Principles Bill. And getting rid of the Maori seats whilst he's at it. Because if he can't do at least the first of these two he'll have nothing to show the public.

And it's hello Labour and the " Ethno Socialist Peoples Republic of Aotearoa".

AND IT WILL BE HEAR FOR EVER !

Opposition dont win elections. Governments lose because of pitiful performances. Judy Collins knows that well.
If National is to survive, going back to Judy would be another step backwards.
Its time for a younger face - Penk might look tooooo young for the geriatrics who when they were 40, thought they should have been in charge of the ship they were sailing on (private of government).
Seymour looks too young - for some - lacks the charisma of Peters they say. But Seymour DOES IT and Winston DOES NOT. Just as Penk DOES IT and Collins DID NOT

Luxon said he was at Akaroa on NZ day discussing growth with Ngai Tahu instead of Waitangi. . What abiout NZ PM Luxon . Stop the division and let the Treaty Principles Bill go to referendum. Forget your fetish with Climate Change and Zero carbon and listen to the voters or resign . Luxon is NOT a leader ,

Lacklustre Luxon, the sooner he's gone and replaced with someone with leadership skills, the better.

So many predictions from the illinformed, opioniated, radio presenters, act sycophants and labour spin doctors.

Nationals support is currently growing, watch their support accelerate when luxons clever and measured.plan bears fruit.

That plan would be He Puapua?

I don't think anyone believes Mark Hanley line of thinking !!

So much misguided faith in someone who has demonstrated a complete lack of intent to tackle the biggest issue in NZ since WW2.

So the CEO of our corporate government, was talking to the Iwi corporate owners of the South Island? Sounds like the "corporate apartheid" agenda in action to me.
