Feel free to damn me for my version of Political evolution.
Rt Hon Winston Peters appears to have come up with a match winning serve.
Free trade deal? Dead ball
Free immigration deal? Ace.
The NZ First leader and foreign affairs minister has rejected the deal outright, accusing his coalition partners of downplaying its migration consequences and turning what should be a trade agreement into what he calls a “free migration deal”. (1)
“Our serious concern is that migration to New Zealand, across the board, is too high especially given tough economic times. Judging by both the FTA, and how it’s being promoted in India by the Indian Government, we’re likely to see much more migration from India in the years ahead.”
As MSM rant and rave, the sagacious amongst us calibrate a contemporaneous component of evolution – that being politics. Will the New Zealand political forum be very different in two decades time. MMP and population ethnicities are the two precipitators.
According to whizz kid AI’s, demographics, the Chinese community of near 6% is now the fourth-largest ethnic group in New Zealand, with the Indian community having recently grown larger.
In 2019 I worked with a group of Chinese politically inclined, who sought my experience (2) in setting up a minor political party – to contest the forthcoming election – which had Hon Judith Collins running as Leader of National.
Due to “Asians” not being homogeneous i.e. Koreans don’t like Japanese’s – Taiwanese Chinese don’t like Mainland Chinese etc – the project did not consummate. However, the sentiment still lays latent – waiting for a population boost – in one or another ethnic group.
I was also consulted by a group of politically sensitive Indian ethnicity They decided to wait.
Evolution. Not revolution.
Greeks like Aristotle and Pythagoras proved the earth was round – not flat -but it wasn’t until Magellan 1519-1522 that the theory was actually proven.
Darwin, for his interpretation of how the species evolved 1859, was damned.
Today?
Consider for a moment the Tory party in the UK at this point in time. This once bastion of white ruling class in is in a state of serious decline. Beginning as it did with Theresa May being replaced by buffoon Boris Johnson who was dumped for Liz Truss (who confused the Baltic with the Black Sea), the reign of white persons at the helm of the Tories, seems set to become a chapter in the sands of time.
Affluent business class and professionals in UK, who increasingly hail from coloured ethnic backgrounds, now appear to dominate the power behind the throne of Tory governance.
In its place, Nigel Farage has the Reform Party.
The perspicacity of Enoch Powell prevails?
So, it should come as no big surprise that as the population of New Zealand increases disproportionately in favour of Indian and Asian ethnicities, new political parties WILL BE FORMED.
Evolution.
And, as Rt Hon Winston has so often demonstrated to New Zealand, power in our parliament rests in the hands of a minor party.
Solution to this Evolution
Remove MMP?
Question? Is Winston sagacious enough to have foreseen my above prophesy, and decided that it’s in NZ First’s best interest – rather than New Zealand’s best interests, to oppose the so-called free trade policy promoted by Mr Luxon and apparently to be supported by Mr Hipkins?
Evolution?
Will National and Labour unite to form the next government of New Zealand – leaving Winnie in the poo.
The apex of my theory of evolutions is, that with white/European New Zealanders’ breeding rate at a lower level and the influx of affluent asset acquiring Asians and of working-class Indian immigrants on a roll, within 5 decades, white kiwis will be a minority.
Addendum: Not sure I’ll still be around to validate my claim.
