James Fite: Is War the Only ‘Understanding’ Between America and Iran?

The US and Iran are fighting again – or still, perhaps, as one could argue they never really stopped. It has been almost two weeks now since Presidents Donald Trump of the US and Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran signed their “memorandum of understanding.” But what understanding was really reached? It was supposed to put an end to the fighting in the Middle East – even if only just long enough to negotiate a more permanent arrangement.

James Fite: Who’s Running Iran? Confusion and Chaos in the Middle East

The US military seized an Iranian cargo ship on Sunday after it tried to defy President Donald Trump’s naval blockade. The development comes after government officials from Iran said Friday that the Strait of Hormuz was open - but the military said on Saturday it was closed. James Fite: Operation Hawkeye Strike - Trump Responds to ISIS Attack in Syria

The president promised there would be retaliation.

One week ago today, two American soldiers and a civilian translator were killed in an ambush attack in Syria, presumably perpetrated by an ISIS terrorist, according to intelligence reports. President Donald Trump promised “serious retaliation.” Yesterday afternoon, we found out exactly what that meant. James Fite: America’s Air Strike - Now Will Iran Negotiate – Or Retaliate?

After previously saying he might take as long as two weeks to make a decision, Donald Trump ordered a surprise weekend air strike on three nuclear sites in Iran. Just after 8 p.m. Eastern, the president announced the “successful” strikes on Truth Social. The response has been a mixed bag, both at home and abroad. Unsurprisingly, many of Trump’s supporters are behind the move, while his detractors act outraged.

James Fite: Tax-Free Overtime – The Genius of Trump’s Anti-Tax Platform

Do Democrats dare oppose it?

Donald Trump has done it again. During a rally on Thursday, September 12, the former president announced yet another anti-tax. If elected, he promises to try to eliminate taxes on overtime pay. Hourly workers nationwide cheer that idea. Democrats call it a lie and a desperate plea for votes after a weak debate performance. But true or false, doable or not, and regardless of his motivation for making the campaign promise, there’s no denying the genius of the move.
