David Farrar: Police use National’s 2005 billboard slogan as an example of hate speech!

Stuff reports:

A transphobic post on social media, racist taunts, and a slogan from New Zealand’s largest neo-Nazi group are among a number of scenarios in police’s hate crime training. …

Some examples of hate speech used as part of the training include racist remarks, a transphobic post on social media as well as a poster for New Zealand’s largest neo-Nazi group Action Zealandia which reads “Kiwi not iwi”.

So Police are using a slogan used in 2005 by National against Labour’s Foreshore and Seabed Act as an example of hate speech!!

I understand the other example of hate speech is saying “There are only two genders”.

And people wonder why so many are opposed to giving the Police more powers over speech!

David Farrar runs Curia Market Research, a specialist opinion polling and research agency, and the popular Kiwiblog where this article was sourced. He previously worked in the Parliament for eight years, serving two National Party Prime Ministers and three Opposition Leaders.

There ARE only two genders. Everything else is mental illness.

Comrade Ardern's definition of "hate speech" was that "you will know it when you see it".
This sums it up. What she is saying is that there is no accurate independent definition of hate speech. Any person who "knows it" when they see it are using a subjective, personal definition, which would vary from person to person.

Or you can express the most vile, graphic, racist, expletive ridden, and violence inciting diatribe you choose - provided you call it a poem or art form, which then makes it acceptable even by our Human Rights Commission, who clearly know neither what they hear or see.

Or open the 2024 Olympics like the french did with exploitation of perverts and deplorables . The closing ceremony could usher in a sexual revolution/revoltion
