John Robinson: Call Key out

The deceit of John Key

Former National Party leader Sir John Key has called on people to “take the temperature down a wee bit” in the debate around race issues.  What chutzpa! [1]  He knows no shame.  He has conveniently forgotten his own actions, in an effort to present himself, falsely, as a worthy elder statesman.

When he was Prime Minister, John Key led a government which advanced the separatist agenda significantly, helping to turn the racist rhetoric up to far higher levels.

When in opposition, National had criticised the Helen Clarke Labour Government for its moderate Foreshore and Seabed legislation.  When in power, National did a 180o turn and reversed their previous policy, to satisfy the Maori Party and obey a ruling by an impudent, ignorant and gullible United Nations rapporteur (who came after calls from Maori activists) that: “The Foreshore and Seabed Act should be repealed or amended by Parliament and the Crown should engage in treaty settlement negotiation with Maori that would recognize the inherent rights of Maori in the foreshore and seabed.”  (This, despite Article 2 of the Charter which says that the United Nations is not to interfere in the internal affairs of any member state.)  The John Key handed much of our beaches and seas over to tribal authority.

Then in 2010 the co-leader of the Maori Party and Minister of Maori Affairs, Peter Sharples, flew secretly to New York to sign the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (which the Helen Clark Government had refused to sign).  That document contradicts the basic principle of common humanity and equality of all people. [2]  But Key signed up to it, adding fuel to the fire of racial division.

The movement to ever-greater apartheid is largely the consequence of those actions of the John Key National government.  When mistakes are made, it is essential to put it right – starting with the recognitions of those wrongs (Key, like so many others, must get his head out of the sand) followed by a determined move away from racial separation to equality.  National should understand and support that call from its partners in Government.

Dr John Robinson is a research scientist, who has investigated a variety of topics, including the social statistics of Maori. His recognition of fundamental flaws in the interpretation of nineteenth century Maori demographics led him to consider the history of those times in several books.

I entirely agree John. Robinson. The John Key Government was stupid and gullible pandering to Maori , all being half , quarter ,eigth sixteenth et al New Zealanders . Now Prime Minister Luxon has to state unequivacably that David Seymour Principles Bill is worthy governance and National will ensure that democracy in Parliament is undertaken past the first reading and Select Committee stage

Donkey's comment about "lowering the temperature of the debate" should be aimed directly at the Maori Party.

Every government since 1970 have used selected puppet politicians to advance the states agenda of division, racism and apartheid with the ultimate goal of civil unrest leading to a broken country ripe for the picking by the puppet masters.
This has been by design using fraud, deceit, lying, force and all knowingly carried out by traitors to our country who are then rewarded for their service.

John Key was also very naive when dealing with this issue. I was reading a public article by Cam Slater a few months back, where he asked John Key why he had agreed to sign the Undrip agreement. Apparently John replied that it won't matter as Nz doesn't have any indigenous people. Cam then said, well, you do now! I wonder why John hasn't changed his mind in these times? He needs to expand on what he means.

"National should understand and support that call from its partners in Government." Quite so! That would be good, we also need Winston and his Party to back the Treaty Principles Bill as their 'solution' of removing inappropriate references to the Treaty in legislation, while wholly correct and logical, will not enable a lasting reset to the racist, separatist and terribly divisive stuff we are enduring. Absent this, we will be doomed to a Leftist coalition simply charging back in with He Puapua, tikanga, etc. and make no mistake, they would not leave the door open to reversing that once it gets imposed. National and its supporters must surely realise its part in the hitherto demise of our fair Country.

John Key and Mr Finlayson removed Helen Clark's protection for the Foreshore and Maritime zone.
The damage today lies at the feet.
