David Farrar: Yes we should means test Super

Radio NZ reports:

More than 9000 people aged over 65 earn more than $200,000 a year, and another 33,000 earn between $100,000 and $200,000 – and the Retirement Commissioner says it’s fair to question whether they should be able to claim NZ Super as well.

These are the words of outgoing chief executive and secretary to the Treasury Dr Caralee McLiesh, who believes cutting spending here and there won’t be enough to put the Government’s finances on a sustainable path forward.
