The Sahara Desert is one of the driest deserts on earth and almost uninhabited. But it wasn’t always that way. It once was a fertile, well-watered land.
Just as Greenland wasn’t called Greenland because it was covered in ice and snow!
Earth’s climate has changed throughout history and continues to do so. In the last 800,000 years, there have been eight cycles of ice ages and warming periods. Just under 12,000 years ago marked the end of the last major ice age and the beginning of what is now termed “the modern climate era.”
In 2015 climate scaremongers, armed with reams of pseudo science, drew up The Paris Agreement, supposedly a legally binding, international treaty on climate change intended to limit global warming to below 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial time levels.
These doomsayers expected our governments and the sheeple all to fall, docilely, into line and swallow, hook, line and green dollar; That as mankind has created global warming, mankind can reverse global warming.
These spreaders of fear and despair flood media with images of melting glaciers, raging wildfires and rampaging floods, all, undeniably, due to Climate Change!
This is a modern day, contemporary “climate crusade” that has significant commonalities with the medieval crusades. A crusade populated with a retinue of true believers, opportunists, cynics, money-hungry governments, manipulators of all shades and even children’s crusades, all proclaiming, THE END IS NIGH!
Billions of dollars have been catapulted out of government coffers to land on the politicians “Alters of Virtue”! All without proper due diligence, all without peer reviews, all without stated measured goals and objectives and all with inappropriately and erroneously reimbursed costs, possible fraud, waste, and unidentified conflicts-of-interest.
Politicians threw money at anything that said “renewables.” All because it spoke of green righteousness. It was virtue signalling on steroids.
“Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, one by one.”
Our efforts to conserve the beautiful planet that is our home, should not be fixated on Green House Gases.

Here in New Zealand so much of our thinking around the Paris Agreement has centred on the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) created by our farming industry and its practices.
Even back in 2015 New Zealand was telling the United Nations we cannot do more to cut greenhouse gas emissions because it would be just too costly.
Climate Action Tracker, an independent scientific project, a group led by scientists, probably the same scientists who take pleasure in proclaiming climate change is a threat to human wellbeing and any further delay in concerted global action will risk the ability to secure a liveable future, had ranked New Zealand’s plans “inadequate.”
New Zealand’s climate ambassador, Jo Tyndall, tried to explain to a Climate Action Tracker meeting in Germany, “our country’s prosperity is hugely dependent on dairy, sheep and beef farming.” That’s the very same industry that is being slammed as our major source of the greenhouse gas methane.
Back in early 2023, the environmental loonies in Labour and the Greens proposed to reduce sheep and beef numbers by 20% and dairy herds by 5% to achieve some unscientific, probably dreamed up, designed for purpose figures, they were calling our “National Green House Gas Targets”.
Because, they claim methane emitted by our ruminant animals is responsible for 71% of our total agricultural emissions.
To Chloe, Greta, Al Gore, David Attenborough and all the other “Chicken Littles” who perform the “World Environmental Death Throes” dance for political gain and personal recognition, I say any scheme to reduce sheep, beef and dairy numbers in New Zealand by 20% and 5% is simply UNFOUNDED and IRRATIONAL!
Why? Well, for a starter, financially, that equates to approximately the export revenue of the entire wine industry and half of seafood being wiped out.
Here are some cock-eyed details and data to illustrate just how non sensical and irresponsible this Climate Change, for-profit, industry and its adherents fanaticism is.
Believe it or not, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, “Global emissions of methane due to termites are estimated to generate up to 20 million tonnes of methane per year!”
It’s hard to believe, but the tiny termite is responsible for a great deal of our greenhouse gas/global warming problem. Termites fart more than any animal.
Thus, making them the world’s second largest natural source of methane emissions!
Wetlands are the largest natural source of atmospheric methane. Microorganisms living in water-logged soils produce methane, and this makes its way into the atmosphere.
“Save the wetlands and then we can think about saving the entire earth.” “Healthy wetlands are imperative for a healthy Earth.” Aren’t they some of the slogans currently in fashion?
Then there are the wildfires and the burning of vegetation due to forest fires leads to the combustion of carbon that is sequestered in trees, resulting in detrimental gases like CO2 and methane being released into the atmosphere. These are forest fires we are, continually, informed, are a result of climate change!
Food loss and food waste account for 8-10% of annual global greenhouse gas emissions – nearly five times the total emissions from the aviation sector – and contribute to substantial biodiversity loss by using up almost a third of the world’s agricultural land.
Now here is the biggie! Gotta reduce that methane; Gotta reduce that CO2!
Then, you gotta cull the world’s population!
Why? Because there is over 8 billion of us out there farting every day!
And, a typical fart is composed of about 59 percent nitrogen, 21 percent hydrogen, 9 percent carbon dioxide, 4 percent oxygen but a large, 7 percent methane!
Do you now see what I mean?
Climate change/Greenhouse gases/The earth is doomed; It is contradictory, it is irrational and it defies true science and logic.
It is an exercise in futility; AKA, FARTING AGAINST THUNDER!
Oh, and a little postscript on the Sahara Desert; Fossilised bones of prehistoric whales, crocodiles, and other marine life have been found in the Sahara Desert.

There’s generally a logical answer for most things. Unfortunately logic is a dying attribute.
While this country has an illiterate media and a generally ignorant political class with no shred of scientific knowledge, nor any interest in gaining such knowledge, then the canards and falsehoods described here will continue to be part of the collective consciousness, and New Zealand remain a laughing stock. What a sad indictment of the inheritors of the Western/European democratic and philosophical systems.
Unfortunately in this wonderful pc world, we have forgotten that little word 'effoff'. It used to be a very effective and appropriate counter to the tsunami of racial, environmental, pandemic (I'd better stop there) relentless negativity that could overwhelm some. We all die people, don't waste another breath, stop pushing your bullshit barrow.
For New Zealander's and those from overseas who may read articles posted on this website - and those readers (or not) have a "climate change ego/manifesto" can I place before you a simple piece of information.
One - Climate change is an annual event, the prevacation of weather are beyond (and have been) the control of the Human force. If humans could have sorted out climate control - I think this world would be in "a shambles".
Two - this article refers to the Sahara Desert, can I add the lands of those Countries going from this desert toward the lands of - Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Sinai Desert, Lebanon, Jordon, Iraqi to Afghanistan also Saudi Arabis - mostly desert - so how did this eventuate - me thinks from "poor" land management than anything else - then the "weather' played its part.
Ask yourself - what "farming" has or does occurs across these lands, and how sustainable has it been and is it working now?
Afghanistan had a reputation for growing "poppies" for the drug trade as for any other "farming" goats seem to do well.
Three - New Zealand - land management - the farming community becoming the "target'" of the Greens and like minded ilk - for "poor land management"
Well my response is - we need TVNZ to "re-run" all The Country Calendar programs where the film crews captured what Farmers (and any others who own & operate land for cultivation) were doing with redeveloping management of wet lands, protecting water ways, planting trees creating better land management - all at their cost, not the taxpayers - and from my observations of these 30 minute video clips - the Paris Climate Accord/ Agreement - does not seem to be a factor in these or their activities and/or objectives.
Oh on that last note, how many Kiwi's are aware of what a Dutch Govt wanted to do, to the agricultural zones of Holland - using the Paris Climate Accord/Agreement as the basis of their actions. From what I read at the time, it would have destroyed any and all agricultural function in Holland.
Climate change, as "though about" by those with nothing else to do, sit in an office, have a poor outlook on life - have political agendas (mostly from a Socialist background or training)- whose main objective is to "destroy" - particularly agricultural functions - very much what the Russians did following the 1916-17 Revolution - the creating of Collective Farms with required annual outputs - that FAILED.
IPCC predictions ?
All quietly and conveniently forgotten and new objectives issued.
We really are mugs to be taking any notice of these doomsayers.
Other nations will trade with NZ, no matter what our emissions policy are.
My guess is that the great majority of all our politicians know very well that the climate scam is, well, just that. However, they are under instructions that they dare not refuse. And so, if NZ is destroyed in the process, and becomes Aotearoa, their job has been completed, and they will all get their just rewards, one way or the other.
