Sure ain't good, that's exactly clear
Activists, playin’ with our minds
Trying to shame us, to keep us in line
It's time we stop
Kiwis, what's that sound?
Everybody look, we’re going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right, if equal rights are wrong
Tribal elites, wanting control
Of your wealth, land and vote; maybe even your soul
It's time we stop
Kiwis, look around
Everyone wake up, we’re going down
Propaganda strikes deep
Our Establishment gives us the creeps
Concocting lies and imagining the past
Disagree, you’re a racist and you get cancelled fast
It's time we stop
Kiwis, don’t be bound
Everyone break free, we’re going down
Principles causin’ strain
Best for all, or the elite gravy train?
Our Government’s draggin” its heels
And our PM don’t “like nothing”, or so it feels
We better stop
Kiwis, stand your ground
Everyone dig in, we’re going down
Greed and entitlement’s strong
With a catalogue of grievances, long
The top dogs do well, benefits-wise
From a culture they look down on and pretend to despise
So, let’s stop
Kiwis, hypocrites abound
Treat us all the same, we’re going down
Yeah, let’s stop
Hey, we just found
Democracy’s expired, we’re going down
Yeah, stop
What's that ripping sound?
Our Bill of Rights a-shreddin’, we’re going down
Stop!
What's that gurgling sound?
New Zealand’s down the pan, it’s swirling all around
…..and round

To all those who "tune into this posted article" can we have some help as to who we can get to record this "song" for playing across New Zealand's social media radio stations.
My first thought is Howard Morrison?
maybe - Bruce Springstein!
Come on add a name or two or three - can not have the "song writer's"- (Derek Mackie) - efforts go to waste.
Elton John??
Someone who votes Right : Meat Loaf, Kid Rock, Holly Valance , Hank Williams Jr - all Republicans.
Stephen Stills, who wrote the song that these lyrics would be sung to, is still alive as are Richie Furay and Neil Young from the band who first released it. $US10 million might entice them to record Derek's version anonymously and $100 million to do so if identified, but the remaining two members of the original band would need to be brought back from the dead to make it sound really authentic.
Heh heh, very good there Derek (and much respect to Buffalo Springfield).
