I have no doubt Trump will do a great job, not just for Americans but for all of us living in the free world. A strong leader is needed right now and Trump is the best person for the rough and rocky road ahead.
Donald J Trump, not a politician but a businessman, has delivered a fundamental lesson to all leaders of the free world on how you go about winning an election.
Although Christopher Luxon is also more businessman than politician, there is plenty he could learn from Trump’s stunning win. The left of politics should also be paying attention but it’s probably beyond them to understand how 78-year-old Trump could pull off a win of such historic proportions.
So how did he do it?
Firstly, he got a fair amount of help from his opposition: the Democratic Party.
His first opponent was clearly suffering from dementia and one debate was enough to show his chances were limited. So, in the most undemocratic way – without any selection process – the Democrats installed a cackling buffoon, who quite probably produced a worse result than the guy with memory loss.
Think back to how much time they spent trumping up charges to try and indict him using the power of weaponised government departments. Add to that the assassination attempts which nearly cost him his life.
The Democrats in the process made America look like a banana republic.
How they thought all of this would endear them to the people is a mystery that only they can answer but they probably can’t. But what has become really clear is that all they achieved was to turn voters against them.
Their downfall though defines who they are: nasty, bullying and vindictive cowards who lack any sense of decency or integrity. Their one aim was to retain power and that meant destroying Trump by whatever means necessary.
They have paid the ultimate price BIG TIME.
A perfect example of of who and what they are was the Kamala Harris no-show after she’d clearly lost – no “thank you” to her supporters, never mind a concession speech.
This shows exactly who the left really are and the same can be said of their friends in the left-wing mainstream media. This is not exclusive to America, it is a global phenomenon which applies just as strongly in this country.
The superior attitude of these “ruling elites” reeks of an unhealthy disposition towards their opponents and the people in general. They are obsessed with their ideology which they are determined to force on the public no matter what the cost. They intentionally lie and maximise the media bias to achieve their path to power.
Both the politicians and the media are misguided.
It’s turned out to be a sound lesson: ‘You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time,’ and that would seem to be exactly how the election played out.
Trump does not believe in the hysteria surrounding climate change. It would be no surprise if he withdrew from the idiotic Paris Accord (as should we). He is not a warmonger like the Democrats have proven to be; prolonging war in the Middle East by financing Iran to the tune of billions of dollars, which are then used to finance their terrorist proxies.
When last in office Trump starved Iran of funds and will no doubt do so again.
He will also finish off the closing of the border to keep out illegal immigrants.
The American people will be better off under his economic policies as they were in his first term. He will put American citizens and interests first by implementing the tariffs he used in his first term. While tariffs could be detrimental to this country, I am pretty sure Trump and Luxon will get on pretty well as co-inhabitants of the business world; indeed Luxon could benefit from showing a little more of Trump’s toughness.
Being a ‘man of the people’ is majorly where Trump has scored and clearly he is not a dictator, despite the picture the media wishes to paint.
Trump supporters, the MAGA millions, chose to elect the leader who has already proven that he can give them a better life. They are there because he is a man who stops not starts wars. He is a man who they believe will bring them freedom, peace and prosperity. The MAGA movement is made up of people from all walks of life and backgrounds, people of all colours and races, blue collar workers and even unions, plus those in charge of the border.
MAGA will probably expand over the next few years and with Vice President JD Vance being just 39 years old, he may inspire more of the young vote.
With both the House and Senate in the bag, Trump is set to get a lot done in this term and has already surrounded himself with very capable people, including Elon Musk and ex-Democrats Bobby Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard. This is a team that won’t agree on everything and some healthy debate is bound to be in store. The outcomes will be worth it.
As John F Kennedy, RFK’s uncle, so eloquently put it: “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” That sums up Donald J Trump. He’s not doing this gig purely out of ego (although he unmistakably has one) but he’s done well and is now giving something back. Trump doesn’t need this job but he loves his country and his people. He is a patriot, as are all members of the MAGA movement.
A strong leader is what is needed in the USA right now and Trump is the best person for the rough and rocky road ahead, both economically and on the foreign affairs front.
For those who have maliciously been after him, there might well be some sleepless nights for the next little while. How he deals with them remains to be seen but, whatever their comeuppance, they deserve what they get.
And, by the way, many aspects of this result prove Trump was right again: the last election was indeed stolen.

Well said JC. Reappointing Tom Homan is an obvious move to resecure the border. Trump is one of very few world leaders that understands the nonsense relating to the Paris Climate Accord and will withdraw from it immediately. Oh to have intelligent leadership like that in NZ.
Nah, Trump is an ass but the Dems got what they deserved by playing identity politics.
It's so great there are so many people supporting him, and he does have the bluster which is required for the job. He is also very funny and has a deep sense of family and also of what is fair and just.
He has made it quite clear about the Mexican drug cartels which has caused the death of so many young Americans with the crazy, crazy drug phentonyl.
He also plans to get the homeless people off the streets and set up rehabilitation for these young people. I think he really does care and is not just espousing platitudes. Not like some we've heard before in recent times who've now gone abroad to talk about their kind of 'kindness'.
I also have to add here that now the Republicans have taken the house. With the 218 seats required.Full control. Will be easier to get these things done without people like Nancy Pelosi ripping it up in his face.
He's also decentralizing the woke Ministry of Education, taking it back to the individual States.
Trump starving Iran of funds and will not work this time round. Iran has Russian and tacit Chinese support. I have news for the writer the world Trump now leads is completely different from the world in 2016. There is a huge amount of lies and disinformation on social media, which explains some of Trump's victory. Trump's rules seem to be (like Hitlers): never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.” The US citizen is lied to by both parties.
