Clive Bibby: US border policies rank with crimes against humanity

The Trump haters will be finding it difficult to ignore this elephant in the room.

But such is the failure of the free press throughout the Western World to hold politicians of this administration to account, it is likely that these examples of wilful misconduct will escape along with all the others that are going unnoticed since Biden was elected only seven months ago.

It wouldn’t be so bad if we could describe the current Border Control policies as the result of incompetent bungling.

Unfortunately, it is far worse than that. We are being forced to accept that the Covid deaths that will occur as the result of deliberate government policy at the border deserves to be recognised for what it is. For my money, it comes close to “State condoned death of innocent civilians.” Others will say that is too harsh.

“Is there any other kind?” Can’t think of one.

But let’s go back a few months and examine the United States that was bequeathed to the nation by President Biden’s immediate predecessor.

For all his faults that are well documented and constantly listed by his political opponents, the immediate past President performed remarkably well in the key responsibility areas that should be used to rank him alongside the others who have spent time as Leader of the Free World.

Most political scholars will agree that the “Number One Responsibility” of any leader worthy of the name is “the safety of all citizens living within the national boundaries.”

Some would say that there is an equal responsibility for those living abroad as well.

Be that as it may, it is clear that the oversight of our collective well-being should be the main focus of Presidents during their whole time in office.

It is equally clear that Trump’s term as President included a time when Americans were well served by their political masters at least on that score. They had never been safer from all threats whether they be military, climatic, or economic in nature.

How things have changed.

In less than six months, the current US government has reversed just about every policy affecting that security and now we are seeing the result of those disastrous decisions.

The Southern Border with Mexico has changed from being one controlled, with limited entry of foreign nationals, to the “free for all” that has swamped the security forces charged with restricting the flow. As a result, there has been a surge (some suggest the numbers will exceed two million during this year alone) of illegal immigrants who have been allowed entry unchecked as to whether they have criminal records or, more importantly, are carrying the dreaded Covid virus strain that is overwhelming the medical services of countries throughout the world.

Worse still, after crossing the border, these “time bombs” are being deliberately transported into the interior where they disappear, infecting previously unharmed communities and by so doing, negating all the good work by health officials trying to stop the deaths associated with a Covid outbreak.

Tragically we can expect the effects of this scourge to remain as constants in the lives of those who had fought so hard to control its spread - and for what!

One thing is unquestionable - any future deaths and difficulties imposed on communities as a result of the virus can be directly attributable to the wilful destruction of safeguards installed by the Trump administration.

It is an unbelievably callous, deliberately designed policy of the Biden government to allow the free entry of these undocumented, often virus carrying masses who will then be encouraged to apply for and receive citizenship and vote in the next election.

Guess who they will be voting for?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that one out.

This move is a blatant attempt to undermine the democratic process that will make the last election look like one designed in heaven.

And yet we are being asked to simply roll over and accept this horrific betrayal as something that is somebody else’s problem.

To the contrary, in my humble opinion, this episode in American politics is far more dangerous for western democracies (including our own) than any threat from the Chinese or those who openly want an end to western civilisation.

The US is rapidly gaining a reputation for abandoning those who need its protection. This week it is Afghanistan. Whose next - Taiwan or even us down here in the South Pacific. Our Anzac defence chiefs must be choking on their muesli.

Thank you Mr. Bibby for expressing what many Americans are saying and posting on public forums. Deliberate crimes against citizens should be a reason for impeachment but when mainstream media closes ranks and refuses to report the objective realities, then we have an uphill battle.
