Great interview by Seymore. Says more about TVNZ than anything else, showing them up as a nasty, ignorant, racist mouthpiece for Te Pati Maori.
I do not think that Jenny May Clarkson has the skills to even front Maori Television let alone the failing TV One. Her bluster and ignorance is NO match for truth, honesty and intelligent debate .
A valid point is her question about PM Luxon continueing to espouse that he will not support the Bill moving further through Parliament which will ensure his being Prime Minister will be one term. The public majority will support the Bill and most are voters . Wake UP PM Luxon .
Enjoyed that this morning, it was a master class in getting Jenny to do her job - plus what that job actually is! One hopes that the pending restructure of TVNZ ends up giving us a set of front line staff who are neutral/unbiased who get back to journalism and being the true 4th estate we so sadly lack. Seymour is absolutely right, this is a debate/conversation the Country must have though I'm not so sure about how they think that the now messy wording of principle two to make it more "narrowed" is an improvement. English is a language where the more words one uses, the more obscure it meaning becomes. Let's see what others think when it comes to the public submissions and discussions in the house.
What a disgraceful, ignorant interviewer. She should have stayed with netball !
Thank goodness Seymour is there and pushing this debate - he knows how urgent this has become. NZers must wake up.
Jenny May would be better sticking with encouraging “her people” to take up netball and enjoy the life she has experienced as a New Zealander, not just part Māori. Her attitude quite antagonist and views I’ll informed.
Great David! But National are going to look like fools with no vision in the next 6months.And in the run up to the next election will have to do a U turn from where they are today!
Absolutely owned her.
If anyone told me that a Labour voter of 40 years, would be voting ACT next election I would never have believed them.
Seymour is clever here, vote harvesting for next election, it will only be a matter of the next two elections at most, before National is forced to vote for this type of legislation, if it wants to become government.
Jenny Mae has been racist on tv1 for months.Sooner she's gone the better.I complained about her at start of year I turn tv of now when I see her. When she loses her job she can join te Pati maori
