Peter Williams: Seriously Willie?

Jackson cashes in with dumb reporters

Willie Jackson is an illogical, irrational, hypocritical political clown.

(He once called me an anti-vax, climate denying racist so I figure I owe him one.)

Think for a moment about this.

Jackson, like the Prime Minister, owns an apartment in Wellington. He claims a tax-free accommodation allowance, which he is entitled to. He pays it to himself as the owner of the place he stays at in Wellington.

This is exactly what Christopher Luxon was doing until he wimped out in the face of a braying media pack.

Just under twenty other MPs have the same arrangement. They pay the accommodation allowance to themselves.

But it’s different for Willie and the others you see.

"We take that because all of us have to pay mortgages. None of us have got mortgage-free set-ups like Mr Luxon.

"If you don't have a mortgage, what on earth are you doing taking the allowance?

"It might be in the rules, but I think it goes against all principles."

Is this guy for real?

Since when did your level of debt become the slightest bit relevant as to whether you claim an accommodation allowance or not?

Willie went on to say that Luxon taking the accommodation allowance entitlement showed how out of touch he was with everyday New Zealanders.

And so we go to the Register of Pecuniary Interests for Members of Parliament.

As of January 31 last year, Willie Jackson jointly owned two family homes in Auckland, a further family home in Rotorua and an apartment in Wellington.

Across the four properties he listed one mortgage.

If Luxon is “out of touch with everyday New Zealanders” Willie doesn’t have much in common with them either.

And one more thing.

When Willie is spouting this nonsense why doesn’t some political reporter have the courage to point out a few facts about his little property empire?

Oh, that’s right. Willie’s in the Labour Party.

Peter Williams was a writer and broadcaster for half a century. Now watching from the sidelines. Peter blogs regularly on Peter’s Substack - where this article was sourced.

Don't get upset, Peter.

Willie's a has-been. And a racist.
And he may be having second thoughts about getting those Covid jabs, but I doubt he reads anything that isn't in the MSM so he's blissfully ignorant about the risks and will probably show up for his booster.

But more than that, Willie's a massive hypocrite whose maxim is "do as I say, not as I do".

Firstly, there are no political reporters who have the courage to point out a few facts.

Secondly, Jacksom probably only has a tiny mortgage that he is probably only paying interest upon so that the optics look in his favour.

Mr. Jackson is the embodiment of a political and social troughing hypocrit and I am being extremely kind.

Yep he's a hypocrite, that's for sure. Keep fighting the good fight Peter, we appreciate it.

I'm doing my best also, there are quite a few leftie nutcases out there and I'm holding them to account with the SIMPLE TRUTH AND FACTS, when I get into a political confrontations with them. Lefties hate the truth and facts and I'm pleased to know how much reality distresses them.

Motormouth Willie is incredible. After years of talk back hosting he has mastered the art of the immediate plausible to the gullible half truth response and still applies it continuously. All msm interviewers are sympathetic so he gets away with it. Never sounds in the least daunted. In a recent interchange with encouraging Ma???ingi Forbes he was in finest Willie form. His receptive audience lap it up.

The major problem with Willie is he's too dumb to know he's stupid.

Willie is quoted as saying that "It might be in the rules, but it goes against all principles". Does that include the principles in the Treaty of
Waitangi Willie?

Just prior to last October’s general election, Willie Jackson’s property ‘empire’ was exposed on social media. Whether or not that achieved anything useful I don’t know.

It is essential for NZers to realise that MPs, once elected or foisted, breathe different air, and their brain works differently, Mr Jackson being a prime example. It makes them feel generally immune to social ethics, morals and values that we mere mortals must endure in exchange for our tolerance.

Just wondering when Willie being more Jewish ✡️ 🤔 than Polynesian, (presumably the Maori bit) is going to apologise for the killing by his people of Palestinians?
