Garrick Tremain: Cloak of kudos

Here is Garrick Tremain's cartoon commentary on Maori King and our Prime Minister meeting!

Garrick Tremain is one of New Zealand's best known artists and political cartoonists. With a background in farming and advertising, he has a wonderful ability to capture in images exactly what people are thinking in a way that makes us laugh. You can see his more of his work on his website HERE.

I presume the cloak for clown Prince Tuku would be the ancient Maori fabrics silk? Or would it be kiwi feathers ( specifically bred for their feathers?)

Nice one Tremain

On RNZ hear an endless stream of glib tongued maori women. Moxam, Motu, Sykes, Packer, Forbes, Henri, etc and the occasional smooth bloke (late Jackson,
Wilcox) but all must squirm when they hear the pleb ramblings of the king. (Every time I allude to th underpants interlude, I wonder how many others remember. Both Tremaim and myself are of a genertion which does. One of the nice things which cam with colonisation. Incidentally. adjusted for inflation, price would far more than double. I supect if the PM had attended few underspants would have been worn in prep eor whakapaone, the Dunn salute)
