Garrick Tremain: Historic moment

Here is Garrick Tremain's cartoon commentary on Jacinda Ardern's wedding!

Garrick Tremain is one of New Zealand's best known artists and political cartoonists. With a background in farming and advertising, he has a wonderful ability to capture in images exactly what people are thinking in a way that makes us laugh. You can see his more of his work on his website HERE.

An even more insiduously destructive group is scheduled to get together at Turangawaewae on 20th Jan.

Not funny. I wish them well.

I am usually an avid fan of Tremain's cartoons, but I agree - in part - with Ewan McGregor.

Whilst not in harmony with his latter emotions, I suggest that Mr Tremain ease off attacking politicians personally by comparing them with the insidious Nazi regime.

Freedom of expression, including cartoons, is all very well, but it bears with it a degree of social responsibility.

At least Tremain has the courage to speak out and challenge. I may not agree with what he says but I defend his right to say it. Good on him.

The reference to the bunker is not necessarily to just the very last moments. The fact is that the Labour Party and associates with their drive to co governance, which is effectively maori control, represented a very insidious anti democratic development. The anti colonist speak of many Labour policy supporters is not so very different form the anti other races attitude expounded by the Nazis. Our state contol of TVNZ and RNZ propoganda and the compliance of msm had and still very much has parallels.
