Derek Mackie: If only....Chris!

This is my appeal to the National leader to step up to the plate and throw off his woke cloak.
Don't be afraid to stand up for values that not so very long ago were mainstream and the cornerstones of our society, but in these topsy-turvy times have become either openly reviled or seriously questioned.
Come on, Chris!

If you can keep your head, when all about you,
     The media are losing theirs and blaming you;
If you can stop apologising when they doubt you,
     Stand firm instead, nor waver too;
If you embrace wide-ranging views within your party,
     Without the need to censure and chastise;
And reject that “single source of truth” malarkey
     Be accepting of opinion, and in your actions wise:

If you can dream of everyone as equal,
     Regardless of their ethnic kith-and-kin;
If you can read The Treaty, not the sequel
     And see us all as Kiwis, not the colour of our skin;
If, to you, co-governance means discord
     And entitlement enjoyed by just a few;
Not “progressive” or enlightened, only backward,
     A tribal past revived, with all its faults anew:

If you can stand the modest heat from global warming
     And keep cool amidst the wild alarmist hype;
If, to you, science should be challenged if found wanting,
     And, on evidence, be based - our guiding light;
If the Bill of Rights you honour and hold dear
     Ensuring all your fellow citizens free will;
You can’t then with needles, force and stab them, out of fear,
     For loss of freedom is aye a bitter pill:

If you define a woman without pause,
     And are not woke by loud transgender screams;
If free speech, to you, is a Right and noble cause
     Race and hate - the darlings of the Left, it seems;
If you can fill your every thought and waking minute
     With sixty seconds common sense and reason run;
Yours is New Zealand and everything that’s in it,
     And—what’s more—you could be the Man, Luxon!

Government Warning:
 Readers offended by the use of the male gender term in the final line - and freedom of speech and opinion in general - should contact the Disinformation Project to lodge a complaint.
Email Kate@WouldILieToYou.govt.nz or visit their website www.snakeinthegrass.co.nz to dob someone in.
 Your complaint will be dealt with in the strictest confidence, providing we agree with it…. otherwise you may find yourself the subject of a disinformation investigation.
A list of approved complaint topics can be found on our website.

My word yes. He does have some people of sense in his members' line-up. Up to them to tell him some home truths - or toss him for the job.

How about a verse for Susan Devoy, re interview with Petra Bagust: pale stale and mostly male entitled racists will die out then there will be a fully multicultural country with bicultural foundations. (Apologies if any one thinks I have misunderstood her message).

Susan Devoy:
Not quite.
I thought she meant a bicultural country with clear superiority and privilege for the specific 17% minority over the multi- cultural majority of 83%.

The brainwashed younger generations who have been indoctrinated for years, will - in general - swallow this vision/version.

Sadly Mr Luxon and his fence sitting on racial division will be the reason that many erstwhile National supporters will be assigning their party vote to Act!
