Latest variant not much to be scared about
Isn’t it bizarre that we are still being scared about Covid variants?
Haven’t we all accepted that Covid is not much more than a bad flu or a bad cold and that the way to protect yourself is the usual way you keep healthy. That is eat well, sleep well, exercise well and maybe take a few vitamins to supplement your diet.
Yet there they were on the TV again a couple of nights back, the usual suspects like Michael Baker, about some new variant which may or may not be causing concern.
And of course his message was that the only way to protect yourself against this new variant is get a vaccine - although he did admit that a new strand of vaccine might be needed.
Then the report goes on to feature an emergency doctor saying how he’s seeing an increase in strokes and blood clots and cardiac events. Um, I doubt very much those events are caused by catching the Covid respiratory virus.
But aren’t they acknowledged side effects of the vaccine, supposedly very rare occurrences? Yeah right.
Despite us having one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, doctors are seeing patients catching Covid for the 3rd or 4th or 5th time. Can people not see the wood for the trees?
Surely by now, with people being boosted up the wazoo and reports coming in of some catching this virus again, or rather testing positive for it, surely the truth must hit home at some stage.
That is this vaccine is not effective at preventing you from catching the virus. We know it doesn’t prevent transmission, and never has, because the manufacturers told us so. They didn’t even test for that in their trials.
Here is a message to the media. The country is over being scared by the threat of this minor respiratory illness, even if new variants and mutations emerge.
Perhaps it’s time to understand why so many people are being admitted to ICU with strokes and heart attacks?
Or are inquiries like that likely to find embarrassing answers?

I agree peter. I had glandular fever and malaria well before covid, and these were both 1 million times worse than covid. Life never stopped for these illnesses. This was always only about about control. There is a book by dean koontz called " the silent corner" about people being injected with a substance that infects their brains and alters their dna without their knowledge. Well worth a read.
I had hoped we had heard the last of Michael Baker who has now revealed himself as an inveterate publicity seeker.
One wishes that the media would let him revert to his previous well deserved anonymity.
Is ivermectin available now on prescription? If not why not?
Should be available over the counter! Was once classified by WHO as an 'essential medication' and stats show it to be safer than Panadol.
